O2B - Heart disease runs in my family, high blood pressure, high chol. etc. I asked my doctor about it and he said because heart diesease runs in the family I just need to watch the cheese & meat portion. Said that I could eat all the fish & chicken & fruits & veggies I wanted. He said this is a great way of life. So i'm glad that you have decided to start SBD.

best of luck to you. the first few days might be hard, but just be prepared with your foods and drink lots of water.

Hi everyone! And welcome Lisa! You have certainly had your fair share of stress. I am sorry to hear all that has happened to you. I am new and I am starting the SB diet officially tomorrow (Monday). I have taken a week to get myself motivated and shop for the right foods. We can do it! Just hang in there!!!!
Thanks for the post Patty. I would be interested to see how our blood pressure does. Please keep us posted on how yours is. I will post too if I see any change.
I will take my dad every day this week to have his first chemo treatments (he had colon cancer). I know that will be stressful. I feel so bad for him. I will plan to take plenty of water with me and have a snack or 2 in a cooler when we get out. I am planning on walking in the morning before I go get him. My neighbor said she is ready to walk too.
I hope you all had a great Easter. I enjoyed mine. I knew this was the last day to binge for a long time. So I overdid it. Tomorrow will start a new me though. And I am looking forward to that.
