Default Spaghetti Squash Au Gratin

I know there's a wealth of spaghetti squash recipes here, but here's another variation:

Spaghetti Squash Au Gratin

1 Tbsp olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (2 lb) spaghetti squash, cut seeded and steamed
2 Tbsp chopped fresh basil
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
2 Tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1. Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook onion until soft, about 6 minutes. Remove from heat.
2. Scrape cooked strands from the squash into a large bowl. Fluff with fork. Preheat broiler.
3. Add onions, basil, salt, and pepper to squash strands. Toss well. Place mixture in a 1-quart oven-proof baking dish coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Broil 4 inches from heat for 2 minutes. Serve immediately.

The Parmesan gets nice and brown and crispy in the broiler. We ate this with chicken parmesan and the tomato sauce was great with it!
