Good Lord, Sweet Tooth! I just finished putting away the last of the Christmas wreaths! My friend, Morna, usually has her shopping all done and wrapped before September 1. It really is a good idea and must make Christmas much more relaxing.

Talking Good Afternoon!

Good Morning... it's getting to the point where I don't even know if Im on OP I mean it's so second nature now. Yeah, I sneak a cookie occasionally or chocolate covered nuts or something but 80-90% of the time im good! I love the beach!

Went Hiking this weekend it was great and beautiful. come on spring.. I need to get out more hiking and stuff. Dp wants to start backcountry hiking and camping so we'll see this summer. It will have to be late summer bc the skids will be here. That's okay!

(hugs) to ya'll!!

Quick buzz by this morning....

Cottage - I asked a question on the Deep Dish Pizza recipe and maybe you didn't see it....I made it last week and the middle of it was REALLY runny. Any suggestions?

Sweet Tooth - Those darn MOB's ! Let me tell you that I just love dealing with them sometimes. When are they going to realize that it's NOT about them...it's about the bride and groom and what THEY want. We are constantly having "talks" with the MOB's to try and loosed the reigns on the wedding. Oh, and a shower is usually not hosted by the MOG. The shower can be hosted by any of the brides friends or family....usually by the maid of honor or a bridesmaid. You could always send that pesky MOB my way if she doesn't straighten her act up!

Everyone else - I am completely out of time to post to everyone individually but hi and I hope you have a great day!

I had a semi-uneventful weekend. I spent Saturday cleaning up around the house, then went to the dirt track with DH to watch the sprint car races. It was fun but FREEZING. I know, I know, how cold could it be in CA? Well, the stands almost back up to the ocean and we were pretty high up. I had thermals, a turtleneck, a sweatshirt, a stocking cap and a down comforter and I was still a little cold.

Yesterday, I went to visit my dad for his birthday. They had pizza, fried chicken, brownies, cake...the WORKS! I brought some lettuce wraps with me and ate those along with some celery and PB. I was so proud of myself!

Scale shows down 4 pounds this morning. I'm not going to change my ticker because I didn't change it when I gained those 4 pounds. Hopefully I get past this darn 151-152 number at the end of this week. It'll be tough considering my sister's baby shower is on Saturday and I'm going to visit Shambala (www.shambala.org) on Sunday. I'll probably pack a lunch for that so it will be a little easier to stay OP.

That's it for the moment. I've got to go meet with a bride later on this afternoon.

For RNMOM and those of you who are wondering... I am competing in the Mrs. West Virginia Pageant on April 9th. It is a married women's pageant that focuses on community involvement and committment to family and marriage.

My platform topic is violence/bullying prevention in schools and I hope that I am able to help schools and communities work towards preventing bullying and violence, not only at school, but in the community. Did you know that 160,000 kids stay home from school every day to avoid being the target of bullying???

We don't have swimsuit competition, but we do have aerobic wear. So, wish me the best and I will keep you guys posted.

Thanks for everyone's support and concern.

XOXO

What a great topic to run on, Mrs. Charleston! Have you read Queen Bees and Wannabes? It's a great book about the bullying that girls do...so subtle that it rarely is addressed, but it hurts as badly as the hitting that boys do...sometimes more.

Sweet Tooth, good luck with the silly MIL-to-be. You are a saint to put up with all of this on top of everything else going on in your life!!! Sounds like you and I and Barb all need a pick-me-up, and not food! I'm thinking a pedicure or a massage is in the cards...what do you think?
