I finally have a few minutes to pop in to see how everyone is doing.
Ruth - I don't blame you for not going to town. Dh was just in TO this past week and said that it was really cold there. Out west we have been sunning ourselves in +8 temps...I even went out the past couple of days without a coat on.

I can hardly wait until the spring weather is here for good.
lc - Have fun with the laundry and taxes - what a combination!!! I still need to do mine, but have just been putting it off for this year so far.
I love that name 'Howie.' I can just picture the mischief...
ellis - Have fun painting. DH is the same about holes in walls and ceilings. I just wait til he's gone, then it is toooooo late. Just make sure that you make 1 hole (the voice of experience speaking)
rayneysmom - Hope the day gets better. And, just stay with the program. You will find that the weight will come off. Sometimes just a bit (or a lot) of patience is needed. You will do this, though.
Amber - Sorry to hear about baby and with you sick that is not good. Hope today goes well and that you are both feeling better soon. Take care.
Cottage - Have a great day with the grandkids. I do envy people who are close to their grandkids. We are too far away, so have to schedule visits with them, and then it is often not alone to do silly things.

Last time I was babsitting, we had a backwards dinner. We ate all the dessert up first - almost a food fight - then had our main course. The stupidest part of the event was that the kids ate more food eating their dessert first than they normally eat. I was really surprised.
Me - It has been chaotic in my life. DH just got back from his nephew's funeral and I went to his aunt's funeral while he was away. On top of that, I had to run DM to dr. appointments. She is scheduled for a second mastectomy on Monday morning, so that will be more care once she is home from the hospital. I went to one of her dr. appointments and her family dr. is afraid that she is in the first stages of Alzheimers as well. She had a test for that this past Monday, so I am just waiting for the results. It makes it even more difficult when she is facing surgery.
I just wanted to tell everyone about one of the college teachers here. He was teaching a class and one of the assignments was to be objective about something that is advertised in the media. One group selected the Supersize documentary as their assignment project. He didn't think that they were being objective, so he agreed to take on the same diet for 30 days - McDonalds food three times per day for 30 days. He finished the 30 days yesterday. I was just reading the article this morning...he lost 17 pounds and his blood pressure went down. He doesn't have the results from his blood work yet, but should have in a day or two. The difference between him and Morgan Spurlock - he exercised 5 to 6 hours per week. Just thought I would pass this on to everyone because the exercise is a really important part of healthy living.
Personally, I really struggle with the exercise. I just don't enjoy taking time to exercise. I have finally come to terms with it, though, although the last couple of months have been hit or miss. I am hoping that March will be better, but I will have to play that by ear, depending on what my home life deals me this month.
Anyway, I better run and get back to work. Have a great day at the beach.
