Prayer Thread
For whatever your beliefs are (or lack of), I thought it might be nice to have somewhere to go to ask for/receive support.
Today I'm offering prayers for:
Tazcat, who recently lost her Mother, and is now losing her DH to brain cancer.
Kim, who just lost her Mom.
Sweet Tooth, who had her own cancer scare this year.
Anchor Weight, recently divorced.
Sil, who lost her Mom this year.
I know there are more... please add to the list. I'm a little fuzzy... just woke up, and am working on my first coffee.
And I'm very grateful for the many prayers and all the support I received this year over losing my Dad. You're all such wonderful women, and I'm so blessed to have this place to come to. Thank you, girls.

Along with all the above, I'm offering prayers for Ellis and her family who will have a difficult Christmas without her father, Thomas.
I'm sure I'll have more to add later.

Adding some more prayers:
- One for Sarah who is in the early stages of pregnancy and may have a problem
- Another for John, my cousin and Delta's postmaster, as he spends his last Christmas at home with his family
- Prayers for Baby Zoe who was born in August and is fading away
Hey! This could get depressing. I'll light candles for them all tonight.

This is depressing, but so kind. It really helps to know that prayers are going out, if not for maracles, for understanding and excepting what God has in store for us.
I am praying that we all have a smile today. And that we give thanks for what we have.
My prayers are for you all as well.
love Tazcat
Happy Holidays

I would like to second Karen's thoughts about the millions of people around the world that have had their lives devastated by the recent tsunami...
Sending light and love to all of those in need.

For Tazcat...
"Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well."
