As to the oats, I think that the quick cooking ones are just cut finer so they'll cook faster, still 100% oats. I like the old fashioned myself. I just put 1/2 cup in a bowl with 1 cup of water and a little salt, then nuke it for 2 minutes (use a big enough bowl or it'll overflow

). Stir, add what you want, eat. Very fast and only the bowl to wash.
