Default Still Living in Chaos

Slow response on this site has kept me from spending a lot of time here but Suzanne is moving us to a new server over the weekend which should solve the problem.

Well, I have gorgeous big bright new kitchen windows - installed by Bill, Bill and Bill! I thought they were putting me on about the names. Too darn funny! It took the whole day and made quite a mess but was worth it. Now I must make painting and decorating decisions but am tempted to leave it until fall.

My new helper, Sarah, worked with me on the gardens all day. She is going to be just great to help with raking and lugging stuff way out back to the compost mountain. She even volunteered to rake the poopy dog garden and it looks great! The Girls were at the kennel for construction day so it was a good opportunity. By the way, I am NOT stiff and sore this morning so she sure is worth $8 an hour!

Need to wash my hair and get ready for more gardening if it's dry enough out there. I wish I could control when it rains! Jane my homemaker comes to stay with Harry this afternoon and I go to see the doctor about the results of my plumbing check. I will be glad to get that over with no matter what the results. It's better to know than not know.

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. What will be will be. I'll let you know the results tomorrow morning if I don't get back in here today.

The three Bills remind me of the sitcom from the 80s (or 70s?) with "this is Daryl and my other brother Daryl" - Bob Newhart Show, maybe?

I will be crossing all that can be crossed, sending out prayers and keeping positive vibes flowing for ya, Ruth.

Dotti - We can still be friends with Peachie but make faces behind her back, k?

Hi to Sono, Linda, L and anyone else that drops by.

Been cloudy/rainy all week but sunny today and to be in the 70s but we are supposed to have fairly high afternoon winds. Its always something. I really don't like to sit in the wind to watch the baseball game - it plays havok with my allergies.

Ok - gotta go jump in the shower. Have a great day all.

Kel

Yippee! My test results show absolutely no cancer - just a very stress sensitive colon! Can you say happy?

Now I'll get more serious about this diet stuff as I'm pretty sure I'll be around for another 65 years!

Thanks for all the good wishes, Chickies.

Dottie, the ophthalmologist told me that my itchy, weepy eye is due to an allergy and has nothing to do with my clogged tear duct. I have to continue using anti-allergy eye drops which do seem to help the itchiness somewhat. I'm scheduled for surgery on the tear duct on July 15 but I'm seriously thinking about cancelling it. It's not life-threatening and I'm certainly still able to cry copious amounts of tears. If this was causing the itchiness, I'd have it but as they're unrelated, I just can't see the point. Plus it means getting someone to drive me into Vancouver, find parking and wait for me..a real pain in the a**. Now, if it was liposuction I was scheduled for, I'd move mountains to get there.

Ruth! WONDERFUL news - oh, I am so relieved!!!!!

Linda - Glad you don't really NEED surgery on your eye. This year is horrible for allergies here in the central valley too.

PeachieKeen - You know I'm just joshin' ya! I am so proud of you and all you have acomplished. You are my hero too!

it's almost 7 and I'm leaving for work. I am working 1/2 day in order to go to a baby shower this afternoon. I won't be home til late I think...so I wanted to get in here and say hi!
Not much happening, eating OK, but no scale movement yet. And tonight won't be good, I know there'll be all kinds of good stuff to eat. but then it's on to the weekend and I find I am working pretty hard in the yard these days! My muscles are sore, but I'm not loosing anything.
Linda, glad the surgery isn't immediately needed. Do tear ducts unclog themselves? Can it get infected if left untreated? OK, Ill shut up.
Ruth, happy news whew, now you can relax and enjoy the spring. You have enough on your plate!
Kel, no matter what you say to her face, I am still going to smirk behind her back! You know the Peach can take it.
Hi to all, looking forward to a nice weekend...plan something nice to do!

Dottie, I have an amazingly uncommunicative opthalmologist..in fact, I think she's downright rude, but from what I could make out, there is no danger of the tear duct becoming infected. Also, if I had the surgery, they wouldn't be opening up the duct but putting in some kind of artificial one. Sounds like a lot of trouble to me but I'm going to do some research on the web to see what else I can find out so I'm sure to make the right decision.

I've had a busy morning. Weather hasn't permitted garden work so I've vacuumed, dusted, washed the washable floors and baked some bread. I'm sure there's lots more that could be done if I were so inclined but I'm not.

Linda, your last line reminded me of a cartoon I saw today. It said:

I find it helps to organize chores into catagories:
things I won't do now
things I won't do later
things I'll never do.

It gave me a chuckle.

Sono...I have got to second my concerns about going to Israel. Stay safe, ok?

Hey to L and Hey to Ruth!

who'd I miss....

oh yea....Dottie and Kel!

I think you guys may be on to something. I think that you are right about the friends and the treadmill. I think the treadmill IS the reason I have no friends. Consider this: I have to take a shower BEFORE I get on the treadmill in the morning. It's the whole "love me thing" . Let's face it I stink and can't stand the way I smell while I am on the treadmill unless I have had a shower. So I get on the treadmill clean. I come off and I stink again but I am too darn tired to give a flying fig, so I go about my day. Hence this could be the reason I have no friends. Whaddya think?

I think I really can handle you guys making faces behind my back while I am on the treadmill. Again, another example for your consideration: I tell the little guy tonight that I am going on the treadmill. He is nine now. He should be able to handle this. "Here is your game cube, here is a movie, stay away from the treadmill because it is dangerous" (don't I know it! ) My head phones are on. I am listening to my favorite tune to tread by....the great rendition of 'She Bangs She Bangs by William Hung' (it suits my treadmill personality). I am in the last 10 minutes, when I hear the little guy, "Mom! you're doing great!" "Thanks, little guy!", a breathless peach says. BUT I make the mistake of turning around to look at him. He is wearing the pair of brand new panty hose I just bought today at the grocery store and nothing else except for my bra on top of his head, placed like a helmet. The treadmill jacks up to a speed of 6 with an incline of 7 and I of course have to hold on for dear life. life ain't always easy but I can take it!!!!!

have a great evening and if I don't get back a great weekend too!

hugs,
peach
ps...oh...and if after all this you get the notion to get on a treadmill....make sure that the underwear that you are wearing does not have elastic worn out around the legs...trust me on this one, ok?
