Question Plateau vs. Ineffective Strategies?

I have reached a point on my journey where I have quit every time before. 20 pounds lost, but not losing more than 1.4 pounds a week where I was losing 2.5. I am two weeks behind on my goal and getting really discouraged. If anything, I am sticking to the diet better. I am doing WW points plus and love how easy it is, but I am worried that I have either hit a plateau or am doing something wrong. Has anyone else had this experience with Weight Watchers? Any advice how to get back to losing 2.5 pounds or is this normal?

To clarify, you are losing 1.4 pounds a week now, correct? If that's the case, I'd say you're doing pretty darn well. Weight loss slows down as you get closer to your goal weight. Instead, maybe you should re-examine your goals based on this new rate of loss so that you are not setting yourself up for disappointment!

I wouldn't count anything as a plateau unless you were not losing at all for at least a month. And I also wouldn't make any changes to your diet or exercise routine if you are in fact still losing almost a pound and a half a week.
