Default Feeling Guilty

So I am feeling awful today with my stomach hurting and feeling like I am going to be ill just from breathing. I started BC (Yaz) last week and am worried that is what is causing this. I also slept horribly last night and I have decided to skip my workout today because these two reasons.

However, I feel incredibly guilty and weak because of it. I work out M-F and haven't missed a day in two months so I want to give myself slack. I would hate to get sick while at the gym working out which is why I am going to go home.

I don't know if other people skip work outs when they are sick but, if you do, and feel guilty how to you combat it?

I skip when I don't feel well, there's no point in going and being miserable. Won't get much out of it anyways so don't sweat it.

It's perfectly normal to skip workouts when you're feeling sick, you wouldn't want to get even sicker, would you? I skip my workouts during TOM as well, because I feel so lethargic and weak, I'd probably faint at the gym. There's nothing to feel guilty about, once you get your energy back everything will go back to normal, don't force yourself to do physical activity when you're not up for it.

It certainly is OK to skip a workout once in a while if you don't feel up to it. Many times, though, I feel better after working out.

As a side note - Yaz has been in the news for years with lots of side effects. Please be sure to stay informed while on it. My DD was on it for a few months and after a long talk with her doctor, switched to something else. She originally chose it because it is very effective for lessening sever PMS and also helps clear up acne. Just be careful.
