Default Salmon Recipe....

I'm trying to eat a lot healthier and not just low cal. Does anyone have a quick easy Salmon recipe...something that doesn't include adding oil?

A little olive oil, to fry it up in, is not bad for you...then flavor the salmon with some juice from a lemon...just about as healthy as you can get.

or some dill!

I always make teriyaki salmon - off the top of my head, I do: soy sauce, something sweet (honey/agave/sugar/sweetener), garlic, scallions, rice wine vinegar, and a little bit of sesame oil - marinate and grill.

Even my four year old often tells me she "wishes we could have salmon tonight."

I love baked salmon, place salmon in aluminum foil lined dish, season however you wish, and bake about 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
If you are woried about it sticking you can very lightly grease the baking dish.
Delicious and you have no oil.

I bake my salmon as well. I have a lemon pepper spice grinder, so I use that and then squeeze some fresh lemon juice and a squirt or 2 of the I can't believe it's not butter spray and bake for about 20 mins on 375. Comes out delish. In the summer we will grill it, very good with grilled veggies.

I like blackened salmon... you can buy the blackening season in the grocery store and just sprinkle it over one side of the salmon (or you can do both sides if you want a spicier fish) and I use a dab of real butter to fry it in but you could probably use the I can't believe it's not butter spray, and just cook it till it's done and the seasonings crisp up (blacken).

I included the recipe I have for salmon. It calls for some oil, but if you increase the lemon juice (or add some soy sauce), you should be able to cut out the oil. I'd recommend that you grease the pan, or cook the fish in foil - it will stick to an ungreased pan.

1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon light olive oil
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1-1/2 teaspoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 salmon filet

- Mix everything in a bowl. Place salmon fillets in a baking dish, cover with the marinade. Marinate in fridge for an hour, turn as you care to.
- Preheat oven to 375*.
- Wrap filets in aluminum foil, cover with the marinade, and seal. Place sealed salmon in the baking dish, bake for 35 to 45 minutes. If you can flake it nicely with a fork, then you're in for some great stuff.
