Aww thanks for all the nice welcome backs! I really have missed you guys.

I did join the Kroc center yesterday and today after bible study I decided since I already had make up on etc. I will start with weight training. Whew! My body feels like a noodle. lol. I spoke with a trainer and along with info from my Doctors I decided to "take it eay" to begin with. I went around the curcuit one time but I close to maxed out my weights so I was sure to get a good work out in. Decide to now swim. That I will do tomorrow. For now every other day I will swim until I regain some strength.

Looking forward (or not) to the Bod Pod. I thought about canceling the appointment until I make more muscle and told my self, "don't be silly." Plus, when I go back for the next bod pod It will really show my hard work since I will have a true before and after

Blessings all and so glad to be home!
Annie

Hi Everyone. Happy Friday!!!

I went and had my "Bod Pod" yesterday and the dietician and I discussed my nutrition and it is sorely lacking I have been told to eat more in order to get my matabolism fired up many times but this time I'm going to really, really try. She showed me how since my heart attack and the past couple of years of being unable to really workout and stuff that I've lost 30 pounds of lean muscle mass. My fat percent is up from that last point around 8 percent! So, I've been hitting the weights and swimming. My goal is to build muscle and of coarse take of some more weight to see a huge improvement by the next time I have a Bod Pod which is Juneish or end of Mayish Dr. Wants me to concentrate on getting my fat % at 30. He said from 75% that it was It will be awesome.

I'm trying not to be bummed because I was soooo close at one time before my heart attck. Oh well, onward and downward right?

I hope you all have a blessed weekend and are able to get in some good healthy eating choices and exercise.

Blessings,
Annie

Oh, I updated my tracker too. I'm up 8 pounds since I was here before.

OOOOoooo Annie, I was curious about the bodpod stuff. I know my muscle mass is lacking since WLS. I'm back to riding my bicycle to work now. Good thing we are having a reasonably mild winter.

Last time you tried to do stuff, you were having bad heart pains. I'm hoping things are better now. I know how much you love swimming.

I'm chugging along beside you on your journey. During the stress of the last year and death of my beloved auntie, I went up 15 lbs. Now that's gone and I'm down 1 lb below lowest. My WLS tool is still working. The good news is my vitamins are fabulous and my night vision has never been better! I'm hanging out a bit in the 10 day at a time lifeboat thread. Breaking things down in small increments has really helped me.

So far, I've been extremely compliant with vitamins for at least a month and have had no vending machine crap at all at work. I'm keeping track of calories in a loose sort of way, allowing them to be as low as 1800 and as high as 2300 (seeing as I don't absorb 20-50% of everything except sugars.. those are 100%).

I'm also working very hard with a therapist on eating and body stuff. This is the first time I've been totally forthright with a therapist and I think we are making lots of progress.

Of course, my Peeps here are such fabulous support! What would I do without folks who understand my struggles so intimately.

Hugs to all,
Ratkity

Wow Annie and Lynn such inspiring numbers. I feel motivated and in awe. I joined last week and began my journey to health at that time as well. I am glad there is a special place for 300's plus on this site. I hope to post often and read often for support.

I've really been struggling with my weight this week. AF is here and the evil witch is driving me crazy. I am praying for better numbers soon.

Ratkitty: Yep the Bodpod tells all. lol. Last time when I was on here and I was swimming and having chest pains etc. So much has changed. The cardiologist insisted on upping my Imdur (long lasting nitro) I balked at it because it gives me such a bad headache and makes me sick to my stomach but... I kept after it and almost 2 months have passed and I think my body has acclamated to it okay now. I get occasional chest pains (Angina) and have to take the occasional Under the tongue nitro but... usually it is just the one nitro and the pain goes away. I'm glad that you are sticking to it and doing so darn well! The hardest part of this whole journey so far for me has been the "head" stuff. The working out and stuff really was easy in comparisson. Now, I'm not saying it wasn't harder early on because I could physically only ride my exercise bike for 5 min. at a time. Good for you Rat

Lynne: I am so happy for you and your weight loss! Way to go! or "weight to go" lol. Hugs.

Pluckybear: Welcome. I have been coming to this site on and off for gosh I think since 2005! I don't know what I would have done without my 3fc family helping me and encouraging me along. I hope that we can do some of the same for you. Hugs.

Bailysmomma: Hi there {waving happily} Nice to meet you! I feel really dumb but I don't know what AF is that you are refering to Sorry that she/it is driving you crazy. Oh Duh! I think you are saying "Aunt Flo" lol. If so, I hear ya. I am 45 now and my AF visits are getting more and more stranger. I mean I am so bloated and my breasts hurt so much that I am wearing a sports bra to sleep in. UGH! I hope that our AF's pass quickly enough and we are back to feeling "normal" soon.

Well, just wanted to check in with you all. I have been lifting weights 3 times a week. I did once around the cirucut last week and this week I upped it to 2 times around the circut with the exception of ab machine, hip abducters inner and outer machines. I am doing all of those 3 times cause uh that's where most of my excess baggage is. The Kroc Center, where I swim is doing a thing called the "Kroc Man" like the Iron man except they give you a month to do each part of the race. I didn't sign myself up because I am too competitive and I know it so I am doing it by myself. The lap pool is a competition pool and 169 laps is equal to 2.4 miles. I try to do 20 laps on my cardio days and if I'm not too tuckered out I do a few for a "treat" on my weight lifting days. I started it last week and I have 109 laps left to swim before the end of February. Actually I'm going out of town for about 3 weeks on starting the 27th so I need to get it done before then. I'm hoping to do 29 laps today or at the least 25 so I can knock that silly 9 off of there. lol. OCD much?

Have a great bootie moving day and be blessed,
Annie

Annie,

Yep the AF I was referring to was Aunt Flo. She is an evil witch. LOL. She has left my part of town now. Moving on to torture someone else.

The scales have finally decided to budge and I'm super excited about that. I am down 24.4 lbs if you want to go right down to the ounce. If we are going by whole numbers 25 lbs!

I went and got my hair cut yesterday. First time in a year as I had been letting it grow. I lost over 7 inches but I didn't measure to be exact. I updated my avatar with a pic I snapped of the new 'do before working out last night.

I can finally see a little change in myself. I was able to easily wear a tshirt today that I have had in my closet for a few years because I couldn't get it on. Also it is a good thing I live in the boonies. I went to give my chickens water this morning and because I had both my hands on the waterer my jeans fell down. Like literally to my ankles! Looks like I have to get new jeans. I have some in my closet from the past but I must be between sizes because they are still too tight.

Hello Peeps!

Yay for loose jeans LOL. Also yay for not mooning anyone but the chickens.

Annie, wow, you are so motivated and doing so much more now than the last time I remember your exercise routine. The change in meds have given you your life back! It might not be exactly back to where you were, but at least you can do normal functions AND now weights. I'm so proud of your perseverance and zest for life. I just want to grab you and give you a big waytogo hug!! You have to just imagine it as I send it electronically.

Plucky, welcome!! Please post how you are doing.

Tel, how you doing?

Hugs to all,
Ratkity

I started making the rounds here on 3FC yesterday, but I've been under the weather for about the past week. No workouts, no attention paid to my food, just plain misery.

I'm on the tail end of it, which is great... I hope to get back into a good routine ASAP. Work is super-stressful, because they told us we were having another round of staff reductions coming in mid-April, following the round we had in December. That news came on Wednesday. I ate emotionally that day. I stressed and fidgeted and munched. No good.

However, I had a lovely NSV today. I went for a second set of measurements for my wedding dress, today. We were 3 inches down on hips and 3.5 on the waist...! We are ordering one size down, which will still be a squeeze at the hips. The shop owner congratulated me on such significant changes in 4 weeks and said if I need to come in every month from now to the wedding to get measured in order to stay on track and motivated, then she would be happy to do that for me.

I'm creeping ever-closer to that 10 lbs down mark. It really is a "slow and steady" kind of thing. Part of me would like to lose faster, but at this rate, I don't feel like I'm running the risk of a quick drop followed by a regain.

I hope everyone's doing wonderfully. I'll come by and read and do personal responses sometime this weekend - there's so much to catch up on in just a week.

Congrats Telorida and Baileysmom!

I haven't been around much, still sick as a dog and haven't exercised much in 3 weeks and have gained a lot of what I've lost back. Thought I was getting better but that wasn't true. Just hope the doc can get me in Monday.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Alana: Great news about the lose jeans! That is wonderful. Glad to hear that you are getting back to normal now after your AF visit. I love your avatar photo. You are a cutie pie and your hear is darling

Rat: Well. My health is a real bummer lol. I had chest pains all day on Friday and was "grounded" from any activity all weekend long I was really, really mad. I mean like super mad. I don't know if it is a combination of being grounded and PMSing and stress or what but I had a grumpy weekend. Cardiologist gave me a choice on Friday, well, he actually wanted me in the ER but I made him give me another option (tee hee) So, now instead of 60 mg of Imdur a day he upped it to 120 mg! I have a struggle getting used to the stuff like I was telling you on Thursday and so... it begins again. I will get through this....or literally die trying. lol. I was on bedrest all weekend long and he said as long as the chest pains aren't "too severe" and my BP is okay I can go back to exercising today. I woke up at 3a.m.ish with chest pains and took a nitro. Prayed and read the bible and prayed again and had a protein shake and then I went to the gym to lift weights. I decided to swim too. I only swam 9 laps but I consider today a "bonus" swim day because it is a weight lifting day. So, I am taking that hug "virtual" from you right about .....now! Thanks hon!

Telorida: First (nice to meet you)! Then, sorry you have been so ill but what a lovely NSV!!! I'm so happy for you. I can just imagine how proud you are. What a nice person that your wedding dress maker is too to encourage you and stuff! I wish you all the best.

Stranded: Nice to meet you also and I hope you feel better very soon.

Well all, it is almost 10 a.m. and I have already done my workout and 3 loads of laundry. I imagine I will crash and want a nap because of my weird schedule today.

I am super excited that this coming Saturday Joel and I (Joel= Hubby for those that don't know), we are driving to Montana and picking up one of my sisters and coming back home the same day. About a 2.5- 3 hour drive each way. Resting on Sunday then Monday my sister and I will be going to Southern Idaho to help my parents get ready to move. I will be down there for about 2-3 weeks which is such a long time to be away from Joel and my furbabies and the pool and, and, and normal life. Trying to gather a few sheets of exercise moves that will build muscles and give me some cardio so I can have a "routine" down there.

Have a great day and be blessed,
Annie
