EVERYTHING gives me a muffin top. I even have one when I'm naked. SO unattractive. I can't even say I got it from having kids, because I haven't. I used to have a flat stomach, then I went on the Pill and now the muffin-top won't go away even though I eat right 5-6 days a week and exercise 6 days a week. As such, I am a size 12 and hating it. But I would much rather wear my size 12 and hide the muffin-top than make myself fatter by wearing a size 10. It makes me sad, though, when I read about people who regularly binge who are bemoaning that they are size 8 and wish they were size 6. I don't binge or really even overeat, but thanks to them I feel extra-huge in my size 12's.
My biggest pants issue isn't jeans--it's jean shorts. It's so hard to find a pair that fits my waist but isn't SO long in the leg that it looks unsexy. My thigh fat is receding visibly now, and I have been told by many people now that I have very muscular legs. I want to show off my legs! But for some reason all the size 12 jean shorts that fit my stomach have long legs. All the shorts that are long enough on my thighs to hide the remaining flab but short enough to show off my quads have tight waists that give me a muffin top.
I've found plenty of knit, cargo and sweats shorts that fit the large waist/hips and buff-legs body type. But jean shorts are the cutest, and I wish I had more than that one magical pair that fits perfectly. It seems like manufacturers make a lot of jeans for a lot of different body types but the shorts come in one-size-fits-small.
