Happy early Sunday,

I want to really apologize for missing out on the daily fun and all your lives (I will admit that I won't ever be able to go back and read 2 weeks worth of dailies so if there is something exciting or note worthy going on, please PM me because I care and want to know).

I've developed anxiety due to stress. Doc is trying to get me medicated for the short term. She also suggested meditation and I laughed at her (I am not the meditating type). On top of that, my BIL and my MIL are here and have been for two days. There is some very distressing family drama there too. Work is not okay either and I am just very unhappy there right now but am hoping things get better. And, I am still sick from Thanksgiving and I think I hurt my knee exercising.

So, yes, stressed. But on plan except I seem to be gaining instead of losing (I did have a planned cheat lunch today but ugh, just add it to the drama).

Just wanted to let you all know I miss you all and hope you are well and I hope to be back (and heavily medicated) soon!!! I will try catching up here and there as I can.

Aw, Jenne, I'm so sorry Life is crapping on you. Come back when you can.

Went to the Diner for breakfast yesterday morning and got caught up on all the gossip plus the moaning about the power outages. Puttered around the house and spent some time tidying and quilting in the studio. A nice quiet evening with TV, sweet dogs and some wine.

Today I'm off to Church (skipped last week because of my knee) and then will throw together a potato dish for tonight's "family" dinner with the girls and the kids. Karen is doing a roast of pork which I'll eat but am definitely avoiding my own dish. It's kugelis, a Lithuanian recipe, with potatoes, bacon, cream and other "bad" things. I am not planning to bring home the leftovers! Joanne is bringing a big green salad which will be OK but Heather is on dessert and usually does something decadent. Of course there will be wine.

Poop! My calendar just reminded me that I have a meeting this afternoon at one so I'd better get this darn thing organized before 10:30 Church which is not here in Delta but at our sister Church in Athens.

Enjoy your Sunday. I intend to enjoy mine.

Jenne, I feel bad that you are having to deal with all those issues right now, and hope that it all gets straightened out soon. We'll miss you and hope you aren't gone for long.

Ruth, I know you will manage to enjoy your day, and especially the Family Dinner this evening!

Hooray! The bathroom just opened up and I want to jump in the shower while I can. I'll be back!

Good Morning,

Jenne, life sometimes just has to get in the way of things! Hope you get things back in order and manageable. Take care of yourself.

Ruth, busy day, but sounds like a good day.

I had a great day yesterday, left the house at 9:30 didn't get home till 3:00, just ran errands here and there, stopped at a quilt shop and did a find a few things for myself. And all of this because we ran out of dog food and we either have to buy it on line or go 27 miles to get it. But I think I needed the me time.

Today housework and dream up something good for dinner and weekly meals. Today is my weigh in day, so will see what number pops up.

Hope everyone is making it though the weekend ok.

There! That didn't take me too long. Nowadays I have to take advantage of a free bathroom when I can. You snooze-you lose, and I lost since I slept in this morning.

Chickadeee~ Sounds like you had a nice day yesterday. I have to think about what I'm going to make for myself for dinner. The rest of the family wants Chicken Pot Pie. Not the kind in a casserole, but the stew kind with homemade potpie noodles. I still can't decide what I want to eat, though.

Good morning Challenging morning around here but things are settling down again. I got out for a walk yesterday which did wonders for my mood. I'm going to try for another one today and if that doesn't happen I'll just dance myself silly (I'm so uncoordinated that takes about 30 seconds )

Jenn - I hear you with the stress. I'm not sleeping enough and eating way too much protein and fat (my name is Cyndi and I am a cheese fiend) so my weight is not cooperating right now either. Any chance you can take a couple of days for you - even if you just turn the phone off and hibernate? It sounds silly but my one resolution this year is to stop and think of one thing I am grateful for every day, and to not use the same thing every day. I was getting so caught up in all the hard stuff I was drowning and it actually does help a little. Just a thought. I'll be looking for you on facebook. take good care of you my friend.

Ruth - You should write a cookbook or three, you have more yummy sounding recipes! Hope there is some time to sit and relax today too.

Cottage - I don't know how you are surviving with one bathroom! I always say that to my Mom, don't know how we did it when we were kids either. Hope there was lots of hot water for you.

Chickadee - Sounds like errand running around here Sometimes I enjoy the quiet time in the car where no one can find me (I refuse to answer the cell when I'm driving).

Karen- I've been looking at the Netflix workouts but not seeing much that excites me. Find anything you like? I'm always looking for new things in the winter.

Chel - glad the meeting was successful. Happy tiling!

Not sure what's on tap today, it depends on how DW is doing. I should run to Agway for cat food and some different bird seed but if she's having a tough time I'll stick to the house. I'm craving something with lentils, time to check my recipes and drag the crockpot out.

ETA - Good morning Holly! Super smart getting your veggies set ahead of time. I so need to remember that!

Hey ladies - just had a lovely walk on the beach by myself, collecting seashells. Things are going as well as they could down here in FL. Except eating, of course! (could be a lot worse) Dad doesn't look to great, I got pretty ticked off that he has the bed sore with a horrible odor, with 2 nurses looking at in the past 2 days. Really? Since the last time he went into the hospital was all due to septicemia?!?! I've got mom putting a sugar dressing on it until he has a doctor appt monday.

Anyway. Off to pick up the DD a new swimsuit, then taking mom and her foster son (while a friend watches dad) to the beach. Should be a pleasant day. (hey, I'm really a chick on THE BEACH today!!!)

Good Morning

Heading to the pool and church. Need to get packed up for an early trip tomorrow since I work at 7. Ski traffic is too bad to leave today.

Jenne, I hope you start feeling better very soon! You have been missed around these parts and I'm so sorry to hear you've got so much on your plate right now. Take care, friend.

Cyndi, you should try the lentil soup recipe in the "what do I do with lentils?" thread. I think it's the one from Barefoot Contessa. Anyway, I made it and it's the best soup recipe I've ever had using lentils. Regarding the bathroom situation, usually there isn't a problem during the week, as we each have our own time slot in the morning. But it's the weekends that you have to take a number, if you plan on sleeping in, LOL. Luckily, we have a quick recovery hot water heater, so we always have plenty of hot water. Thank goodness! We are eventually going to put in another bathroom downstairs, but when it was just Jake and I living here, there wasn't really any need. It will make our house more saleable if we ever decide to sell, though.

Hey, all!

Jenn - Damn, girl!

Linda - Oh I love chicken pot pie! Can't remember the last time I had one. Drool.

Cyndi - If I try any I'll report back.

Twynn - I have beach envy! Enjoy.

It's been crazy busy here today. I spent hours on the phone with my mom as her "tech support." Which is pretty funny since I'm hardly techy myself. Then an hour and a half skyping with my teen working on his resume and cover letter for an internship. And long chat with a blogger I met last spring. But I did half of that while riding the exercise bike and it made the time fly! I feel like I've been talking all day!

thanks for all the love y'all! I really struggled with food today (Um, Cyndi - can you say CHEESE galore!??!) but am looking forward to the Dr. Tomorrow. I will let you know how it all goes in the afternoon when I get to work!
