Ok, I don't know the first thing about dehydrating but I think you all made me WANT to. Any good websites to suggest for recipes/instructions?

My thing is really craving potato chips and I tend to overdo it with things like rice chips so if I can eat vegetables and get the same salty feel, I am up for trying!

I can't vouch for these but some fun and interesting looking recipes. My main source of info is a yahoo group, great files but very high volume.

Most raw foods websites are loaded with recipes for dehydrated goodies.

Awesome,. thanks for the links Cyndi!

Jenne...let me know what you try and how it is. I have the same weakness as you....the salty, crunchy stuff!!

Lexx...I will be sending you my address! Thanks so much! I had some coupons and I tossed them....didn't realize they don't expire, even though they have an expiration date on them...sheesh. Also, found out that you can use up to 5 at a time, as long as you have 5 items. Nice!

Woot woot!! Success with the dehydrator and making kale chips! I made some in the oven too...so I could compare. I even did the ones in the oven longer than normal to try and get the uniform crunchiness...just doesn't work out for me. But the dehydrator worked fabulously!!! My husband is make some jerky in there right now, can't wait to try that.

Next up, going to try some zucchini chips...ooh and some green beans.
