I'm the opposite. Good fuel and exercise give me SO much energy, and help me sleep a lot better. And I HATE prepping food in a dirty kitchen, so I'll clean the kitchen, which then makes me want everything else clean to match. And because I'm generally more active now, I hate to sit, so I'll putter, clean, etc at the times I used to just veg on the couch.

I used to be a total slob, and around the same time I started losing weight, I cleaned up my act.

I could have written this. It's so nice when our efforts at improving our health carry over to improvements in other areas as well, isn't it?

I'm the same, it's harder for me to balance everything when I'm losing, mainly because losing weight does not come easy to me. When I'm dedicated to it I tend to throw myself into it-researching information, planning, cooking. I actually stepped some of my obligations down in order to really focus on getting the weight off. Once I'm in maintenance, I'll add more priorities to my list. Thankfully though, I don't have kids and I can slow things down a little bit to get through the dieting, but that won't be true for long. Now is the time for me, so I want to make sure I do it with 110%!

I have the same problem. I'm really not in the mood of making my homework (not always though), and almost the whole day I'm thinking about weight loss. It's like I'm obsessed by it..
Well, but I see now I'm definitely not the only one.

Happens to me xDDD And I really do think its because of my ADD. I need one thing to focus on, and everything else just kinda blurs together. Think that's why when I have to focus on something else extensively, my weight loss gets shoved to the side

I was diagnosed 4 months ago with ADHD, with non-active hyperactivity (so its ADD, but there is actually no ADD anymore, its now officially called ADHD without the hyperactivity, which is kinda stupid in my mind lol).... so maybe that plays a part in it. Luckily, I think I am slowly learning to balance it. Last week was my first week back to school after break, and I am doing a double course load, so I think that was taking a toll on me as well considering its the same week that I decided to start living a healthy life style. I think I just tried to much at once, but I feel like each day I am getting better at it. Thanks for the input everyone!

Good for you for working at finding the balance! It may be tough sometimes, but so worth it.
