Exclamation Note to the Mods

This would be a good place to close this thread. I didn't agree with the Duggars' decision to have baby #20, but I do support them as a family. Some of the comments on here have been incredibly mean-spirited. Note the sticky regarding making fun of celebrities re weight. Shouldn't we extend the Duggars' the same courtesy regarding their personal lives?

Praying for the family

I have no actual viewpoints on the whole situation since I have never seen their show and don't know much about them apart from the 19 kids and this latest pregnancy.

My heart goes out to them for having to go through this very tragic loss. It doesn't matter if it's their first baby or their 20th, the loss of a child is never an easy thing to go through.

Sorry to hear of the miscarriage. The decision of this family to have a large family is their decision. Who are we to criticize ?

Sorry to hear about this. I have read a few comments elsewhere that I find rather hurtful ("This is god's way of telling....").

These comments are often said to women who have lost babies (myself included, a late 1st tri loss that I had multiple positive heartbeat ultrasounds for and expected to survive). It's cruel. If a baby wasn't meant to live by fate, why would it have been conceived? These opinions should be kept to oneself. A loss is terrible enough - later losses can be even more traumatic. At this stage, she will still need to go through labour and give birth, I wish people could be more respectful. Whatever people's opinions are, this was a baby that was very much loved & wanted by it's parents.

Time to close this. And yes, it is getting close to the edge of celebrity bashing.
