(I flunked math in high school-- Sorry I feel like an idiot asking this!!)

Okay, I need to figure out the calories in a 1/4th cup shredded cheese.
The serving size on the back says that 1/3rd cup is 110.
So how do I figure out how much is in 1/4th instead of 1/3rd?

3 X110 = 330 or 1 cup
1/4 0f 330 = 82.5 calories

330 divided by 4 = 82.5

Or I am sure there is an algebraic equation, but I like my way of thinking better.

1/3c = 100
1/4c= x

Solve for "c" in the first equation and then substitute "c" for "x" in the second.
