I don't take an actual Zumba class but I do it at home on my Wii. I don't like it on the wii as much because it doesn't always register my moves and I lose points.

My mom bought the DVDs and I tried them once but have not tried again. I am so uncoordinated that even just trying to learn the steps was embarrassing.

I dont have any coordinated either , believe me, but when Im doing it if I dont know the steps I just walk in place or I do lunges. That way Im still working out and not stopping. I love the music, I really wish I could dance like they do and keep up but its all good, I have fun and even my kids have fun.

I have it for the wii too, but have issues with it registering also. A friend of mine wants to take the local class but I am not sure if I am rready to go public. I am so uncoordinated even my kids laugh at me.

OMG - I am addicted to Zumba. After my first class I was hooked, and remember saying, "That was about the most fun I have had in a while". I was scared to go to class at first, but no one in there is really a professional dancer, everyone is there for the same reason to have fun and get a good cardio work out in. I want the game for kinect, and I have been eyeing the DVDs, but seriously...GO to the class I promise it's super sweet fun!

I have Zumba for the Wii and love it but like some others said it doesn't always pick up the moves and now our Wii is broken. I wanted to join the class in town but it is always packed and very costly. I would love to buy some DVD's where did you find them?

I have the Zumba dvds and I love them. I have two little boys and it is hard to find time to yourself to exercise so I load it on my laptop when they are watching TV or sleeping. I am also introducing Zumba to the students that I have in the afterschool program that I run, they seem to like it. I have found it so easy to stay focused for the duration of the dvd and this does not happen much for me when I exercise. My husband and I have P90x too and I found Zumba to be a much better routine for me personally. I have seen the Zumba DVD set on Amazon.com.

I LOVE ZUMBA! Our class is always packed. And I can always tell the newbies, they like to hide in the back, and start giggling at all the shaking moves. But I don't care! At first I was embarrassed, just me, as a newb, being there, of course, but now, I got over it. So what if I missed a step, or turned the wrong direction? As long as at the end of the class I'm all worked out, sweated out, feeling good about myself, AND burnt a bunch of calories... they can laugh all they want!
I buy the zumba pass, which gives a nice discount on the price. And I go three times a week. It's awesome! Love it.

zumba is amazing..i was taking classes 3 times a week at the gym i used to go to...i love it..but then we moved so i am stuck with doing the dvd's. it's not near as awesome as an actual class....but it works...but i will say that live classes are sooooo much better than the wii game or the dvd's, as long as you have a good instructor.

I have tried a couple of dvds and found then fun even though im so unco-ordintated.So my friend and I have decided to take up our monday nights by going to the local zumba class.FUN and because its fun you dont really feel like your working out even though you are knackered afterward.
Its just quite expensive if your taking other classes (aquafit, aerobics, spinning and pilates) and going to the gym and you dont have a membership.
soooo.
My boyfriend and I have bought gym equipment and we are turning our spare room into a mini gym (thankyou gumtree and freecycle websites) we have got a treadmill, bike and cross trainer as well as little bits and bobs like weights etc. He also has a standing punch bag on its way for us, We are going to work out together, he just wants to bulk up and I want to slim down.
Keep at zumba!! It works.xx
