  • I am having to work at getting BACK into Onederland, but I think this fake weight will whoosh off pretty quickly. I was down 2.6 today, just from yesterday and 1 day of greatness (I'll have to see if I can find that other thread!)
  • Thanks Curvaliscious and April!

One of the many things I've learned this go-round is that I can do everything right and not see it on the scale. I am so glad a friend told me to take measurements too - the weeks the scale doesn't cooperate, the tape measure does.

I've given myself a few time-related weight goals, but I don't stress over them. I don't think I've actually met any of them "on time", but I did meet them all within a week or two.

My big goal is to stay on plan as much as possible and minimize the deliberate, planned "cheating".

Keep up the good work, girls - and it IS good work!
  • Don't think I"ll be using the measuring tape today, but I agree that that can sometimes show us progress when the scale doesn't.

5 weeks to go and I'm thinking I can get close! I could get really, really close if I actually walked (which I've not been doing lately).

I didn't even eat as much as I normally would for Thanksgiving, but I still feel physically icky, because it was more than I have been eating lately.

My goal is just to lose 2-3 pnds this week. We can do it!
  • I did pretty good on Thanksgiving. I had a little bit of the off plan foods that I love, and skipped the ones that I could live without. I brought 2 beers for myself, but only drank 1. I took 2 slivers of pie, but didn't finish the second sliver. I felt full, but not stuffed. All in all, not too bad.

And I lost almost 2 pounds this week! Even better, I've lost 1.5 inches off my big upper belly and 1 inch off my waist and hips in the last 4 weeks!
  • Down 2 more pounds this week. Although I'm quite sure I will not make it to Onederland by my birthday, I'll be darn close. I'm reaiming for sometime in January.

Hang in there, chicks! Just not gaining at this time of year counts as a victory in my book!
  • 8.5 lbs to Onederland. Still pushing!!!
  • I love the Onederland threads because everyone seems to be on a successful mission when they post in them. I was just about at 200 pounds when I joined this site, so I never had the "fun" of counting down to 199 with a group. It sure sounds like everyone is doing well and that Thanksgiving didn't present too many problems. I hope everyone makes great progress ny the end of the year.

I'm just hoping to maintain over the holidays and into next year.

  • Good job everyone!! My loss is very slow, but still a loss! However, I'm excited that I'm down to a size 18 and even tried on sz 16's the other day! I've been taking measurements and love seeing the inches down as well. Yay!!
  • I'm only down 1/2 pound this week, so no ticker change. I did lose 1/4 inch off my hips this week, though. I'll take it - any loss is good loss this time of year!
  • 4.5 lbs to go!! Don't know if I can pull it off in 2 weeks but I'm still trying.
  • Good for you Lambie! How are you doing?

Determined here, but not going to make the goal date. Boo.

    Happy New Year!
  • I made it to Onederland this Tuesday!! Thank you guys for all the support. Keep going! You'll get there soon
  • I didn't make it by New Year's either. I DID hit 70 pounds down, so I'm still pleased with my progress. Back on the stick now - I partied like a rock star for my birthday.
  • I didn't make it by New Year, but I made it today! I weighed in at 199.6. I feel really excited since I haven't been less than 200 in a very, very long time.
  • Congratulations to you all! So inspired! Here's to a fabulous year!
