Having a hard time losing! A bit discouraged and very overwhelmed with work. Plus, the freaking Halloween candy MUST GO! I'm maintaining, but don't have time for that. Back to my Day of Greatness. One day at a time!

We kind of lost the "One day of greatness" thread, didn't we? I liked it because it just got us focused on today, which is all we can do. I'm trying for one day today. Hope everyone else does, too. Actually, Curvaliscious, it was a week of greatness, wan't it? We need to bump the old thread.

I'm only 1 pound down for the week, but I did lose 1/2 inch off my big upper belly!

I'm guessing I'm not going to make it to Onederland by the New Year. At this rate, I won't be to Onederland until the spring! Ack! I am down into the teens now (barely) and I definitely haven't been aggressive with my plan. So busy and stressed. Won't catch a break until Christmas!! Really needing more accountability. It's so easy to NOT come back to this site and check in.
How is everyone else doing?

I'm still pushing to hit Onederland by the New Year. I had a rough couple of weeks but I'm back on track now. Working hard to get out of the two teens by December 1, that way I know my January 1st goal is somewhat attainable.

Good for you! Now I'm encouraged. Maybe I can get way closer than I think! Good job!

Every pound gone is a pound GONE GONE GONE. It really doesn't mater if you hit your goal by 12/31. What matters is that you just keep on keepin' on! You can do this and you'll be glad you stuck to it on 1/1/12 when you're either in Onderland or just a few pounds away. What will really make you mad is if you let these next 6 weeks just slip on by and don't take advantage of the time to do something positive. I know you guys can do this!
Yes, there are holidays. We all have to face them. I'm hoping that I can maintain some sort of normal eating over Thanksgiving. I'll be visiting relatives and it will be a great Italian food fest. Then Christmas - which is essentially a week or more of opportunity to go overboard. I need to be accountable through those weeks, too, so here I am checking in. I don't have any "fat" jeans! I only have the size that fit me now, because I didn't even wear jeans all summer and only bought a few pair in late September as the weather got cooler. I CAN'T gain! If I do, I'll have to wear sweat pants, and that won't work for work! Hopefully this will keep me in line as I'm too stingy to buy a bigger size pants now that I fit in the smaller ones. LOL.
Let's all really take advantage of the 6+ weeks remaining in 2011 and make them the best weeks ever on plan. We have about 45 days or so left and even if you take out Thanksgiving and a few days for Christmas, we can have at least 40 really good days on plan. When you think of it that way, it makes sense to not postpone taking positive action. We can do this!

I definitely think you can come very close or hit 199 by then. I went back to when I joined this thread (a week into my recommitment) and I was still in the 240s then. It's hard to believe I'm down over 30 lbs since then. If I can do it, you can too!!! There's been weeks that I've lost a lb or even nothing since then but in the long run it's coming off and that's what's important.

I'm goin' for it!! I went through all of the clothes in my closet tonight that are too big! It's a big pile! Plus, people are starting to notice my loss and that's felt great! I'm thinking I can get super, super close if I buckle down.
Thanks you two!

I only lost a fraction of a pound again last week. So far it looks like I'm on track for a couple pounds down for my weigh-in on Saturday.
I'm pretty sure I won't make Onderland by New Year's, but that's OK. If you had told me in April that I'd be ALMOST 88 pounds lighter by my birthday, I'd have probably laughed. So however close I get is fine by me, as long as I'm closer than I am now.

This is the key thing for me too. I do set time based goals and I am finding them motivating to keep me on track and push myself that little bit extra, to see if I can make it.
But I am still happy about all progress and if I do miss a goal, it's not a big deal as long as I know I worked hard and I am closer than I was before.
Glad to see someone else embracing the same philosophy - and it's clearly working for you!!
