Default I Have A Crazy Idea

Now that maintenance is within site, I have this crazy idea. What do you think of a sub-forum of this one for those on maintenance? I absolutely LOVE the fact that Patzi regularly posts here even though she is maintaining and the rest of us are losing. Her posts keep me motivated to keep going because I know I'm going to be where she is before long. But I also think about those who have hit maintenance and we don't see much of anymore. I wonder if they think that it's not really the place for them anymore because they've hit their goal. I would love to have an additional place for maintainers and then maybe more would stick around and can post in either spot. And, just like the regular MRC board, I'm sure support from other maintainers will help keep me on track. For those on the regular MRC board, it will definitely be something to shoot for.

Am I totally out there or is this something others would be interested in?

I think it's a great idea. I'm not sure if there would be many people there since this is a small board anyway, but you never know until you try.

I had planned to just go over to the maintainers board since once you hit maintenance, you're pretty much on a calorie counting plan anyhow (or so I've heard). However, I think it's a good idea to give it a try. Besides, I know there would be a lot of MRC visitors who are in the dieting phase-- I've always been curious about the maintenance part of the plan.

Oh, Jen.. That is a fantastic idea. As I mentioned previously what happened to all that have maintained and those who were on stabilization.
I will post of both forums, as I am willing to help all I can.

That is a great idea and I agree that it would be motivating to us still losing. Maintenance is sometimes harder than the losing phase because you don't have the excitement of that goal or the reward of progress. I think serious maintainers would benefit, at least for a while. It might not be very active die to small numbers of people though.....

My thoughts are while it may be partially a calorie counting program, from what I was told, it's also part weaning yourself off the HNS drinks and supplements. I just think that it may be beneficial to have the added support from others who have been through the program and are in the MRC Maintenance mode. If other MRC Maintainers feel they have a place to discuss the challenges of being on Stabilization and Maintenance with others, it may help with the success rate.
