Default Sarge's No Excuses Boot Camp #11

I joined 3FC seriously on 1/1/11, have lost 68 lbs./30%, and have assembled a platoon, a group who gives 110% every day to achieving their weight loss goal. Some of the ladies nicknamed me Sarge, so Sarge it is!

--Please join if you're serious about dropping pounds and melting your "BUTT-er" (that's a salute to Private MadamGooey).

--Please join if you want daily motivation to achieve your goal. Sarge has plenty of time to keep an eye on you!

--Please join if you want Sarge and the platoon to scream in your face like Jillian Michaels on Biggest Loser because that's what you're gonna get if you don't meet your goal each week!

--Please join if you understand the definition of challenge, "...a call to engage in a contest, fight, or competition," THIS IS YOUR LIFE YOU'RE FIGHTING FOR!

--DON'T join if you're gonna bring excuses!

--DON'T join if your head isn't in it yet. We'll be here to embrace you with well-toned arms when you're ready.

--DON'T join if you're overly sensitive to comments like "step away from the buffet!"

--DON'T join if you want to discuss anything other than get this freaking weight off of me! Sarge is type A personality. Excuses and reading touchy-feely stuff makes Sarge's eyes bleed! There are many other threads on 3FC that offer loads of "soft" support and make you feel it's ok to slack on your weight loss efforts. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE THREADS!

RULES: IT'S EASY! Simply make Sarge a promise each Sunday by posting a promise lose a certain number of pounds the following week then DO IT! New Privates encouraged to join any Sunday!

Newbie posts should look like this: Hi Sarge, I'm new! I promise to lose ___ pounds next week!

ALL ARE WELCOME (including men)...any age, any amount of weight to lose. Say "Yes, Count Me In Sarge!" Do it, you know you want to, then drop and give me 20 minutes of exercise!

Met goals yesterday and still doing well.

Me1st- the 60 grams of protein was easy, that is how I naturally eat. But, I had to think about the water.

Satari- Logging food is no fun sometimes <G>. Easy in the morning and afternoon but, no fun at night when I just want to relax. Last week I kept within my calorie limit but, couldn't get myself to document the night time eating.

Celrae and Sarati - One tip for food logging that I use sometimes is to log your planned food intake for the day in the morning. Then in the evening you take a look back and just take a few seconds to edit the items. Planning out your day in advance like this also helps to keep on plan for the day and not eat too much or too little.

I started changing my life on August 22, 2010. I weighed in at 269 lbs. I have no good before pics, but here I am in February 2010 by the Golden Gate Bridge (where our trek is ending up!). I know I put on weight between February and August because my size 22s fit well in February but were tight and too small in August.

By November I had lost around 35 lbs....and those 22s were fitting again.

As an aside, my husband has lost around 50 lbs since that November pic was taken.

I took a peek at the scale this morning and saw 169.4 lbs, so while I haven't officially hit that 100 lbs lost milestone it WILL happen this week. So here I am....11 months into this journey....

I'm wearing a size 12 and larges now. I can't wait to get back to exercising to keep toning and building muscle.

New goal is to get my weight into the "healthy" BMI category which means losing another 25 lbs. I've never been even close to this thin before, so I have no idea what I'll look and feel like at an even lower weight!

Thanks for looking! And huge thanks to the platoon and Sarge for being here for so many months of support and BUTT-er kicking!

Wowwie WOW WOW peanutt!!! Your before and after photos are the perfect end to our trek to The Golden Gate Bridge. We'll easily finish up the miles we need this week, and I have no doubt you hit that 100 mark this week as well.

Morning Platoon,

Sorry I have been quiet lately. I've been lurking some, but I had unexpected company come and they just always seemed to want to be right by my side, looking over my shoulder and for whatever reason, I didn't want them to read what I typed. (I'm weird sometimes.)

I finished c25k. Today I ran for 55 minutes straight. I only stopped when the treadmill told me it was time to cool down. I was going to stop every 5 minutes, but when that 5 minutes got done, I told myself just 5 more because I felt like I could keep going. This is crazy for me. I'm kind of proud, lol.

Peanutt -- OH wow! You look SO good. I am really jealous of your butt. It's so cute and round now. Seriously, that's amazing and you should be so, SO proud. Like whoah.

Josey -- Sorry for going MIA! I'm glad you were able to complete w9d1! You're almost done! Then what? I'm just going to keep running 30+ minutes 3-4 times a week, with a goal of increasing that time further and further.

Sarge -- I have been lurking, but not super well. It seems like someone came back to the platoon and we also got a couple new members. Will you help me make sure I have everyone added to the spreadsheet today sometime? Just point out anyone who's missing and I'll make sure it's up to date by tomorrow morning!

I hope everyone is having a great week! Catch ya later!
