Good job starting today!!
I read you may have some headaches the first few days - while your body detoxes! The first week is supposed to be the hardest! You can do it!

I'm hoping my kit won't take to long as I'm hoping to start on the 15th of August... from the online quiz I'm a B as well... so we shall see...

What kind of things are you eating?
Good luck on day 2!!

Hey skyootr - Yea, I figured the headaches were from detoxing. I might have extended the detox as I gave in and ate some tropical smoothie cafe lastnight for dinner. I ate a flatbread "sandwich" and had a smoothie and some baked chips -_-. I could have done way worse..but I still feel a little bit guilty. Oh well..moving on!

I've been eating scrambled egg white seasoned with whatever spices I decide to try topped with veggies and some fruit..like 1/2 grapefruit or a small plum. Like today I did onions and mushrooms with Mrs. Dash tomato basil seasoning. Same thing for AM snack since I just make extra from breakfast and take it to work with me. I made a huge batch of some italian chicken on Sunday and I've been eating that for lunch/ dinner with either mashed potatoes or rice. Or yesterday what I did was made some rice cupcakes with egg white and added veggies as my side for lunch and late snack. Dinner the first night was just some italian chicken, lastnight ..i slipped...but tonight I'm gonna make some shrimp with garlic maybe...some mashed potatoes I still have left over and probably the rest of my cucumber salad.

I think the hard part is planing out everything to eat not only for the day but for the week so you know what supplies to stock your kitchen with. A big challenge I'm trying to tackle is the cooking sans butter or oils...it's tricky! I'm learning to love chicken stock and vinegars. I'll get the hang of it I'm sure, but it's different.

I definately think slip-ups will happen along the way! but as long as you just get right back at it - that's all you can ask!

I also think you are right - planning will be the key - I plan on making a bunch of batch meals and freezing them in portions for myself as I know if I get caught without a plan I'll be in trouble - especially when I'm trying to feed the kids and the husband as well!

My kit shipped today apparently so hopefully it won't take too long to arrive. There is a ton of info on the provida forums too which is great. Do you know can "B"'s eat cottage cheese?.... I thought I had seen something to that effect in the forum but I'm thinking I must have misread it!

Have a great rest of the week and weekend - I'm heading out of town so will catch up with you next week!

Hi, I'm Leslie

I ordered mine a couple of days ago. I know I'm a Type B since I was looking through a friends before I finally decided to order mine. Looking forward to starting this and seeing how much of my "other person" I can lose.

To be at my target I need to lose ~80lbs. Have to figure out how to make this work also being a type 2 diabetic. Woohoo for progress, or at least starting the process for progress!

Hi ladies....I am entirely new to participating in any sort of weight loss support group, but am encouraged to see a whole bunch of us starting the 6 week makeover relatively at the same time. I did the program two years ago and in 4 weeks lost 22 pounds - all I really did was follow the eating plan - did no exercise, and really didn't drink all the water, but still had amazing success. I stopped doing it when we had some travel plans, but it was an extremely successful program for me that I ultimately found very easy to follow. Initially I was concerned that it seemed to eliminate too many food groups, but then I actually looked at the allowed foods and realized it is probably the most balanced, healthy food program I have ever followed! I am a Type A and truth be told have about 100+ pounds to lose, but would be happy to be in "One-derland" as they say on Biggest Loser! The key at first is eating on schedule, even when you feel no hunger and have to literally choke down the food. After about a week and a half, you feel your metabolism kick in, and when you get hungry it is because it is time to eat, and the food will satisfy you. I have started and restarted nearly every week since I lost the initial 22 (which yes...came back), but maybe having you all for support will keep me on track. We have another trip planned in a few weeks and I know it will be hard to stay on the program, but will give it my best. One suggestion for drinking lots of water: I make a big pot of decaf/herbal tea - start with a warm cup in the morning (instead of my latte's) and put the rest in the fridge for the rest of the day. Looking forward to working with all of you!!

Hi all!
Finally got my kit and started today.
Just got back from vacation yesterday so between getting the kids ready for daycare and getting myself ready for work I only had time to premake two items - a chicken dish and an egg dish - so so far today I have had eggs for meal 1 and 2 and chicken/rice/veg for meal 3 and 4.

I'm not starving - but I do miss having a different taste in my mouth.. and I did have a 1/2 cup of coffee this morning with 1/2 tbsp cream....tomorrow I will try herbal tea and I like your idea of the cold tea too! I'll give that a try......

I'm a type B and I'd like to drop about 45 - 50 lbs!

how are you all doing?

I go tthrough 1 1/2 weeks before flopping on this program. I did great through week 1! I just don't have the time to cook everything the way it needs to be and pack everything before work for the day. It's a hassle. I may come back to it, but for now...I'm afraid I've gone belly up! haha

Best of luck to you guys that are doing it currently though! I'll be peeking in here occassionally so I can see how y'all are doing.

Default 2nd time around

I posted this on the other one before i realized it was old

I am new to this site and hoping it will give me the encouragement I cant find among my skinny friends They are all very supportive, but you know how it is with skinny people

This is my second time on the 6WBMO diet. The first time, I lost 30 pounds in the six weeks. I managed to keep it off pretty well for five months without trying. I gained the weight back when I got pregnant. My daughter is now 22 months old and I started the diet again the middle of July. I was not very diligent on it for the first six weeks- I was in a wedding at the end of it and lost 20 pounds (mostly because I cheated a few times). The little cheating made a HUGE difference- from losing 1 pound to 5! After the wedding, I have completely stuck to it and lost another 20 in four weeks (total of 40!!). I want to loose another 20 by my birthday in a few weeks but because its my birthday and family is coming in town the weekend before- I am considering transitioning to weight watchers in two weeks. As wonderful as the 6WBMO is for quick weight loss, it is completely not something I can stay on the rest of my life! I want to be realist about my goals- I dont need to be a size four but a 12 would be nice. I was 260 pounds in a 22, now I am 220 in a size 16-18. I miss food and being able to eat with people! But I am nervous about the transition- I know that WW looses 2 pounds a week- which I am hoping wont be too discouraging for me after such quick results from this diet. I am also nervous about gaining weight initially and wondering if anyone else has tried this transition and would have any suggestions??
Thanks!
Michelle

I started the diet today and I am not hungry as I thought I would be.
I am hoping that I have a good first week weight loss.
