Default Success on Wave 1

I weighed in today (on the Wii Fit, as usual) and found that on day 5 of Wave 1, I've already lost 5 lbs! That makes 9 since I first started trying to eat Sonoma-style (I didn't start Wave 1 until my book arrived, but I started trying to follow the Wave 2 guidelines as soon as I decided to order the book.) I'm really pleased so far!

I will update here again when I complete Wave 1 - I know a few people were interested in how people typically get on with it.

Rachele, I didn't lose any more in the second five days, so my total weight loss on Wave 1 was 5 lbs. As I said earlier, though, I did lose 4 lbs before my official start date just from trying to follow the Sonoma way of eating before my book arrived, so that may be part of the reason, or it may be because I ate out a couple of times during Wave 1. I will keep posting on this forum on how I get on in Wave 2. How are you getting on?

I think this is really good pilgrim. Good job! It does say some people loose 10 pounds some looses 5 its normal.

I think you did a great job!

Rachele: on my wave 1 which was 2 years ago already! (although i might jsut go back o it soon to loose some more pounds) I lost 8 pounds and 1/2

I think it depends also on how much you need to loose in the first place. I think if id do wave 1 now, I wouldnt loose that much. most likely 4-5 pounds.

WOOHOO! To bump up the WAVE 1 success post...

I've lost 6.5 pounds in 7 days, and I honestly don't have a MASSIVE amount to lose... my goal is to lose about 23-25 pounds.

The only time I've cheated thus far is by eating a half sandwich: crunch peanut butter and sugar free jelly (on the 3rd night).

I got through the first few days drinking a diet mountain dew in the first two days, and drinking at least 3 glasses of green tea with pressed lemon (they come in packets) and at least three glasses of water. I'm AMAZED at how much I love coffee without sugar now (I never have until now).

ALSO... I have slept quite a bit, and I do a little workout when I feel unreasonably hungry-- amazing how that works, huh?

Oh ya... did I mention that I work at a convenience store, and I have a giant bowl of promotional king-sized candy bars that sits on the counter right next to my face for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week? AND I get free fountain soda (10 flavors and 8 flavor shots), and free cappuccino (10 flavors)?

IF I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH WITHOUT EATING SUGAR, ANYONE CAN!!

Congratulations!!!

I've been trying to decide on a new eating plan to follow, and I've decided the Sonoma Diet is the way to go! Especially since Dr. Weil recommends it so highly (Mediterranean Diet).
