Default Horrible Weekend - Gained

I don't even know where to start. I had barely lost any weight because I was not sticking to Weight Watchers as strictly as I can. Then this weekend was one family event after another I did horrible with my food and drink choices. When I WI this morning I was 1 pound heavier than when I first registered on here. I need to accept that in order for me to lose I have to be extremely strict with myself. Even worse is that I know it is possible yet I continue to mess up. My avatar is a picture of me after WW's the first time about 2 years ago and a picture of me this year about 10 lbs lighter than now. I'm hoping seeing what I can do will help me stay focused. I'm just very disappointed with myself today!!

We all know that feeling. The best thing you can do now is not beat yourself up. Just refocus and move on. Make some goals for yourself and stick to them. The more you keep your promises to yourself, the more you will trust yourself and stay on task. You can do this!

Here's the great thing about weight loss: right now, today, you get to start over. Here are a few things that jump start me when I haven't been eating the way I wanted to:
- Fiber! I use no grit benefiber. Pour it in water, shake it up, you'll never know it's there. Amazing.
- Vitamins. Vitamins B, D, and a multi help me feel a little better about the crap I ate.
- Season rather than sweeten.

Thank you both for the encouragement, I can use it today. I can start over today and had every intention of doing that. My husband called to remind me that we have pool league tonight and see if I wnted to go out for mexican food and a margarita before. My first reaction was "yes!!" But then I read back over this post and called him back to ask if we could go somewhere with healthy options instead. He was great about it and agreed. I'm glad I posted this before I got that phone call from him.

Today is a new day and you're already making good choices. Don't beat yourself up just keep plugging away. One choice at a time.

It sounds like your weekend was actually a good one. You just didn't make the best food choices. Now you can recognize it and learn how to make better choices, like you did today!

what's helpful for me is to remember that I'm not giving up all the good stuff FOREVER. It's a choice I'm making for right now, because losing weight is that high of a priority to me. Those desserts and drinks and whatever are still going to be there when I get to my weight loss goal, and then I can enjoy them in moderation while maintaining. But right now, the set back I get in my loss, even from a small amount of going off plan/not making great choices isn't worth it.

Last weekend (June 11-12) I gained 3 pounds! I didn't think it possible to add so much lard so quickly. (I know it's water)
But water or lard notwithstanding it's soul-crushing nevertheless.
