I have a gluten intollerance. Honestly I had to deal with it for a year before I felt comfortable enough to try losing weight. Now I'm completely ok with it and can diet with no fears. My main GF carbs are corn tortillas (yummy heated up!), rice cakes (yummy with low cal spreads), quinoa, baked potato and brown rice. Quinoa is probably the heathiest GF food. Good luck! Here's a webpage with some gluten free low cal snacks:

Another celiac disease person here.
Diagnosed January of 2009 by blood work, never had biopsy.
Dietician said the proof it was really celiac is that 2 hours after eating gluten,
I have violent vomiting that lasts about an hour.
Strong motivation to avoid gluten, let me tell you.

The first 6 months are the hardest.
Going gluten free and realizing what it entails, you will make mistakes many times, but in about 6 months you'll get it and then you are GF and happy.
Since going GF I have lost a dress size, 10 pounds of fluid, and the horrible fatigue I was experiencing. And my allergies are so much better. And I'm less depressed.

Too bad I don't vomit when I eat sugar. That would really help me lose weight...

Our daughter has celiac disease. With the growing awareness about celiac, it is nice that more restaurants are offering gluten-free menu items. We have had particularly good luck with PF Changs. They have been great about tweaking their recipes to cope with celiac and other issues. They even send us home with gluten-free soy sauce when we get take out. Really above and beyond.

I am a celiac and the best gluten free breads are UDI's and Rudi's.
Once i gave up all gluten, I have started feeling better, but it does take a while. I stick to mainly an Atkins type diet. Very low card no sigars and flours.

I don't have a gluten problem but my very good friend does.

If you are a big bread lover, I think you'll find that you will lose weight just be giving up the bread. My friend cannot find a decent loaf of gluten free bread so does without most of the time.
