I just had my yearly gyn exam and I was excited to go for the same reason you are! Last year my doc told me that I needed to lose weight, and that the longer I waited the harder it would be. He is a very kind man and did not make me feel embarassed, but it's been in the back of my mind since I started trying to lose weight.

This exam, he kept saying how healthy I was and that I did a great job. It felt great to get that validation from a medical professional that I trust and respect. Good luck with your appointment!

LMAO saef!!!

OMG, I cannot believe how uplifted I am by all of these comments today! Thank you all, so so much. Every single one of them either made me LMAO, smile really big, or even shed a little tear.

I've been doing a lot of reflecting today. I strapped on my ipod and did an unimaginable (for me) amount of bush trimming and bundling this morning, and with my Rocky music blasting.......I just can't even explain how I feel. I can't explain how FREEing it is to, like uber said, to just DECIDE. JUST DECIDE and hang on for dear life till you get over that frickin hump at the beginning. How different my whole lifefeels when I finally just DECIDE to start living in line with my goals, hopes, dreams, values, desires and stop stuffing my face with too much food for some (WHATEVER) reason. Every pound down has made a difference in my stamina, my physical ability, and how I feel about myself. I can barely even wait to SEE what I AM CABAPLE OF when I'm just carrying around a normal body weight. It's going to be a LOT! HA!

I'll let you all know how the appt goes, it's next Tuesday.

shannonmb - you said what I feel so much - the "deciding' part is the hardest part. The actually putting your head in a place where you know it's "now" - no excuses, no more whatever. The decision is the moment and it is FREEING when you just do it. I agree!

Good luck next week adn always!
