Good morning Today we are off to Maine! It may just be a reading on the deck vacation if all the rain materializes but hey, it's still a vacation! No personals today because last night my finger tried to save a sweet potato from being turned into fries by the mandolin. There was blood, swearing and general unhappiness but no stitches thanks to my nail. I was using the safety thing but my hand slipped. I'm ordering one of those mesh gloves now. It seems like a good idea.

We will have Wifi all week so I'll probably be around more than usual.

(Heidi - sending you a PM in a minute. Let's see what we can figure out!)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend whatever the weather

Good Morning

At least you didn't get the snow we got again last night. Oh, well, it will water the yard, too. A busy day here! We had a function with my mom last night so the house is still torn apart from the yard sale, which worked out pretty well. I made $400. Yay for junk.

I vacilated about last night's function but decided to bring a big garden salad which I could share with our table if need be. It was a traditional sowbelly dinner with Cornish pasties celebrating our mining heritage. Not user friendly since I haven't eaten meat for months. It worked out well...no one even noticed the salad slipping on my plate and the even the green beans I served up had bacon in them...they tasted pretty bad to me so I slipped them in my napkin. I took one bite of the filling of my apple pie and gave the rest to Kirk.

Today, brunch with Mom, then house clean up before blasting over to the Western slope for a week of bike riding and pool parties.

Cyndi, have a great vacation-you deserve it! Hope your finger is on the mend.

everyone! I'd better get going!

Hello friends

It's cool and rainy here today so no walk for me.

I got some heart breaking news at church this morning. Naomi, a friend from Good News Club had major bleeding in her brain, is now in a coma and not expected to recover. She seemed so healthy on Wednesday. Just another reminder that we're not promised tomorrow. Please pray for Naomi's family, especially her children.

I can't really think about much else right now. I'll be back later.

Good evening, ladies. Made it through the Warrior Dash still alive, so it's all good. OMG, such a blast!!! I am not even gonna lie...it was way harder than I was expecting it to be. The majority of the running was UP the mountain in very muddy terrain (and ewwwwww, a snake crossed my path about 2/3 of the way through) and some of the obstacles were very challenging (I tried 4 or 5 times to climb the 12 foot wall and finally had to just go around it and cheer my cousin on over the top)...but it was SO much fun. I'll be posting pictures in my Warrior Dash thread soon.
