Good morning!!

Life is good, because it is Friday!! It is also supposed to be nice weather today which makes me happy. I don't think it makes the firefighters are happy that are fighting a big fire up in the mountains(for those of you in CO the Crystal fire is visable from my windows, its by no means close we can just see the smoke and sometimes if you look into the mountains you can see the flames).

Yesterday there was a baby shower at school and I was proud of myself for saying no to the cake. I actually said no to cake twice yesterday, someone had brought some in earlier in the day.

Have a great day!!

Good morning friends...and TGIF!!!! This has been such a LONG week and I am glad to say that I will not be going to work today, but instead will escort 60 first graders to the science museum in downtown Dallas. I am probably just as excited as they are because I have never been! Should be a great day, got my walking knocked out already this morning, got my lunch and snacks packed for the day, got my coffee, and I am even sporting a side ponytail in hopes to "fit in" with the 6 and 7 year olds. Wish me luck! Have a great op Friday!

Great morning to everyone!!! I need Spring Break to come so I can CLEAN MY HOUSE!!! Maybe we should all travel from each house to house, forming a cleaning brigade . . . might take a few plane rides, but hey - what are friends for??? Of course, Kara - you might be out of luck with getting me ti Germany. I'll come help once you are in Hawaii.

I too thought we were having a rainy afternoon as well, cottage - and yet it is damp already!! There is supposed to be Ultimate practice after school today and a tournament all weekend here in Philly - we need sun!

Very excited to near 165 - that would get me back to where I started the school year. I am starting to fit back into what are supposed to me my "current" size jeans, so I plan to pack away the reserves I had to wear the past 4 months!

Be well -

Morning! I want to say that I just overcame a behavior that I used to have. I was disappointed again this morning to find that I have stayed the same weight...... this is the weight where I always plateau, every time, without fail, no matter what I do. 123 lbs and I'm stuck here FOREVER.

So I was all bummed out that I'm still the same, and came into work and there's an email "Donuts are here - help yourself!" My little devil weezle went "Well, if you're not losing weight anyway, you may as well go have a donut." But then I actually STOPPED, and my little angel weezle said "But that's not going to help you with your plateau any, don't even walk over there."

So my butt is firmly planted in my chair and I'm not even going to go over to sniff them. Jerk donuts. Jerk plateau. Jerk TOM (can you tell?)

Anyhoozle, lots going on. Need to run. Hope everyone has a great day!

Lisa

Good morning,

No time for personals but TGIF!!! I have to come in to work on Sunday for maintenance window but I think I am going to take off half day next Friday for that.

Sounds like everyone is doing well- tonite DD1 has soccer game I should be able to make that one. Tomorrow is DH and mine anniversary- 23 years where does the time fly.

Make it a great day everyone

ETA- Lisa just saw your post- the same evil co-workers brought donuts in here as well....I am not going over there at all- I have my drawer full of op foods...You know if you took one bite you would be why did I want this- it doesn't even taste good

It's turned beautiful here, so I'll take my bike to Denver. Moms appt is 1-1/2 hr. That should be just right for a nice ride.

Heidi, lol. Hope they don't make you work tomorrow! BTW-this thread is the only way I keep track of the days.

Matilda, glad to hear your DS is on the mend! Good call-not having an official weigh in with all the extra events...stress is a water retainer, for sure.

Karen, I'll be interested to hear about P90X. Enjoy your trip to WF, I'll probably get there today, too.

Jasmine, we can't see any smoke from here. Yay for resisting cake, especially saying no twice!

Jessica, glad you have a fun Friday planned!

bea, I'll send wishes your way! Love the idea of a cleaning brigade

Lisa, Yay and double yay for overcoming an old behavior! Beck Diet Solution calls that talking back to your sabotaging thoughts.

Pearlrose, good for you, too, resisting! No donuts here today, either.

Gotta get going....bike needs loading and all the jelly is sitting on the wall waiting to be loaded...........and of course, Bing! gets to go today, too.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

everyone else!

Hmm, I'm pretty sure I knew it was Friday but I was rushing and not paying attention. I probably should have waited to post. Or maybe I STILL would have gotten the day wrong, 'cause that's just the kind of week I've had!

You should always post, especially when you've had that kind of week!

What a wild day! It started with a nice coffee with a friend when I dropped off a quilt, was a whirr and just ended with my friend Terri dropping in for a cup of tea and a garden tour. Terri lives on a very rocky point on the lake and is delighted to take over part of my huge back garden to grow some veggies this summer. Perfect solution as the land will be used and it's fun to garden and take rest breaks with a friend. All in all a successful day!

I may not be in tomorrow as I have to leave for Ottawa for the day for the AGM of Victoria's Quilts.

Have a good weekend!

No garden tours to be had here, it poured all day! I did stop off at a garden center on my way back from getting groceries, though. I snagged some lettuce seedlings and couldn't resist some gorgeous, unusual petunias. One type looks like black velvet, with a creamy pinstripe, and the other is black with a rose colored pinstripe. Very striking. I bought several purple oxalis plants, too, and a flat of primroses. I hope it's dry enough tomorrow to get some planting done!

Have fun tomorrow, Ruth, and we'll miss you!
