As for Atkins bars, this may be worth reading & considering

All the best to you!!
Thanks for posting that I was thinking about asking a question about sugar alcohols. I was looking at the Atkins bars last night when I was getting some whey protein and wondered why in the heck they had 26 carbs but only 2 net carbs. I remember reading that you tend to stay away from them so I dont even bother with them, but its so frustrating these people take advantage of what we are trying to do and possibly stop it at the same time.

I calculated my Basal Metabolic Rate to be 2063 calories (based upon my weight, age, and activity level.) If I deduct my caloric needs by 500/day I should lose 1 pound per week.

However I do think it can be an indicator your not getting enough water and an idicator that your drinking a lot of water. but I am the type of person that when I was pregnant the only time I ever got a positive pg test was with FMU NEVER got one during the day. So that why I figured the same would be best here. How ever I dont think you not in ketosis just because its lighter just when mine changes I can tell somthing in my diet may have changed.
purple in the morning should be ok because the urine is more concentrated but staying in the pink throughout the day is good. As long as those sticks are showing ketosis it's all good...even a trace. Some people believe they have to be purple but they don't. My sticks tend to be darker when I have more beef in my diet than other meats...weird huh? probably cause of the fat intake..

My sticks turned pink two times this weekend. Not sure why only twice, but I'm delighted nonetheless. I decreased my carbs to less than 20 and ran a 5K this weekend, so maybe that helped burn off some glucose.

Thank you so much! I was much slower than I anticipated 'cause I didn't take wind & hills into consideration. I'll know better for next time. I'm more determined than ever to work hard for the next one.
