Default WEIGHT WATCHERS - 'new kid on the block'

I'm seeking a support group that addresses Weight Watchers diet plan/meals. I've just recently started WW (2/3/11) eating the frozen meals, snacks and desserts - ONLY. Except, I was so excited seeing the weight loss, that I decided to 'cheat' by eating at McDonald's one day. I am regretting that choice to this day. When I saw how many calories I ate in one day - I was appalled and vowed not to do it again. I became literally sickened by what I had done to myself. Self-sabotage is my middle name. HELP!

Have you actually joined WW? It seems like you do not have all of the information in hand. I would encourage you to join. If financially this creates a hardship for you perhaps you can consider calorie counting.

You could join WW online, it's less than meetings. I don't even know if cost is the issue, and I won't assume. WW isn't about limiting yourself like that (to just WW items). There's so much potential variety. You also get points, beyond your Daily points, to play with. I think most everyone on WW has used weekly points for splurges (such as McDonald's in your case).

on the 3FC Community page (the first page of the forums) scroll down to Diet Central and in that category is a Weight Watchers forum

This is exactly right. WW doesnt want you to lose weight only eating one type of thing. The goal is to re-work your eating habits so they become healthier and you make healthier choices. They also definitely advocate you eating a burger if you really really want it! Thats why you have the extra points and can even exchange activity points if needed. So no you shouldnt "splurge" all the time but a little bit of the foods you like every now and again is ok!

I also feel that a big part of being healthy is also being kind to yourself. Don't beat yourself up. You haven't failed, you're learning. Just remember how you feel about eating at McDonalds the next time you get a craving for them.

Much success to you on your WW journey. -hang in there~
