Hi. I'm not in my 40's but I used www.fertilityfriend.com to help track my cycles and conceive. They also have a pregnant in 40's forum that might be of a lot help to you. Best of luck in weight loss & getting pregnant. xoxo

I didn't, but I have a cousin who had two happy, healthy pregnancies at 42 and 44.

Good luck!

I wouldn't wait three months. When fertility starts to drop, it drops very quickly.

I took a year to lose weight, but I was 1) 300 lbs and 2) 33. At 40 and 215 lbs, I'd start now and lose weight later. You can diet moderately while trying.

I had my first baby at age 39. I just had my second one 9 weeks ago at age 41. I will be 42 this May. It's true that fertility declines rapidly with advancing age after 40 years old, so definately don't put it off unless your health care provider reccommends otherwise. You just never know when it is going to happen. I got pregnant the first 'try' with this last baby, but it took us almost 2 years to have the first one. I also charted on 'fertility friend' to increase our chances since time was an issue. Best wishes =)

I'm in that same boat. I'm 39 and trying to conceive. It didnt happen last month. Maybe this month. I'm trying to lose weight in the meantime. I want to have the energy to keep up with a new baby.
