Default My very own NSV!

Morning Everyone!
A year ago I had a knee injury and hadn't been able to excercise until recently. The week after Christmas I started walkikng at the mall at least three times a week before work. Some days it was hard and painful but I kept at it. I'm a ballroom dancer and finally after a year last night I atteneded a dance and dance all evening! I'm not even sore and I know it's because I've been walking! Friends I hadn't seen in a long time kept telling me how great I looked.
Friday night I met friends for a late dinner. I had eaten some turkey earlier and just had a dinner salad! So proud of that. Last night we planned to go to dinner before the dance. I looked up the menu online and planned what to order but then we switched restruants! I almost paniced! This new place had a complicated menu but I ordered and only hate half a sandwhich and salad. Before I would have eaten it all.
I have one of those crazy moving it around the floor hoping for a good reading digital scales. This morning I thought about going to buy a new one. But then I thought no, I'm going to spend the money on something new to wear!
My attitude about myself is changing and I'm moving in the right direction. Thanks for reading!

Exercise itself can be fun, but the real payoff is when you can go dancing all night!! I'm very happy for you.

What a great read! You have a bunch of NSVs in that post, and I enjoyed every one.

Fabulous!

When I go out to eat I make sure to almost always bring food home with me in a to-go box unless the meal is reasonable (500 cals or less) I've found it helps and I know how you feel...so proud. Go you girly!

That is all so wonderful! I'm glad you got to go dancing for an evening without too much pain, and your smart habit changes with food and activity will just keep paying off. Yay!
