i agree, i have to avoid white carbs.
i did atkins, it was a learning experience but it helped me realize potatoes are not my friends, lol .
i can handle whole grains but if i eat too many i start wanting sweets.
i don't hold to a diet but will start my calorie counting soon.
i will do lower carb, restricting sweets and salt (a big trigger for my weight to go up and I'm addicted to both)
you just have to remember to change your lifestyle, do what makes you feel good.
dark chocolate is the main sweet i can keep in the house and not overeat.
you have to have one special thing you can enjoy, that won't trigger you.
