Talking Weekend Movie Check

Who went out and who stayed in? I would have liked to seen Basic this weekend but hubby wanted to "cuddle" so we did alot of cuddling this weekend.

Ghost Ship- It was okay, totally watchable. The story had that Uban Legend feel, and if you like UL's you'll like Ghost Ship.

Serving Sara- UM Dribble that sucked my brain cells and a highly unproductive, unamusing way to spend 1.5 hours.

Jackass- I turned it off after the guy pooped his pants and another guy started vomiting. I think enuff said.

Double Whammy- The acting is fine, the story is fine, but its all just fine nothing is amazing here. And if you can figure out why they called it Double Whammy let me know!

XXX- I liked it. It wasn't amazing or anything, but it provided what movies are suppose to---diversion. This was a fun diversion. No academy acting awards for Vin Diesel though

Robocop Director's Cut- Okay Paul Verhoven is the man when it comes to sci-fi action with a bite. This was violent and beautiful, with only some slight dating.

So what did you see?

Last night was:

K-19: The Widowmaker- It was pretty good. If your hubby loves history channel he is going to love this movie. I watched it and was generally amused, but I couldn't help but make my share of wisenheimer comments. I mean come on a bunch of guys on a sub with a failed nuclear reactor, don't you see the humor! LOL!

Fear dot com-Okay this movie SUCKED. Mid-way through the story they shifted gears or something. It comes off like a dis-jointed, poorly paced, piece of crap that it is. This movie is BAD!

Red face Since I am having a crappy day anyway

I am going to bore you all further with the movies I have watched.

About a Boy: This movie is good. Hugh Grant plays himself beautifully. The movie was thought provoking, fresh, and moved me. GOOD FLICK!

Spy Kids 2: Totally watchable with your children but not as good as the first. So,So

Taboo: I could write this better with 1 arm tied behind my back, the directing is weak, and it builds intensity with no punch in the end.

Have a good day,
Chris

May I recommend the French Trilogy; Blue, White & Red.

Hard to find, absolutely awesome to watch.

I watched:
The Affiar of the Necklace
I personally love period pieces so I enjoyed this one. It had a few yawn moments, but not many. Hilary Swank did a great job. Though it should be deemed a chick flick, the Hub said it was "pretty good". Being based on a true event, makes it more intriging.

I Spy
Now Owen Wilson can be just plain funny. This was one of those, -don't take it seriously and you'll really have a good laugh- movies. We both enjoyed it and lightened up the end of a hairy week.

Gunshy
Something about seeing Liam Neeson playing vulnerability was FABULOUS. Cast was Sandra Bullock, Liam, and Oliver Platt. A hidden gem sleeper that was very enjoyable and worth a second watch. This was actually my 5th time watching it and my Hubs 1st...he loved it to.
