Hi all,
Can anyone tell me what the "blue menu" is? I am on the green menu and have really plateaued at 174 (12 days now). Part of it is a major increase in exercise - I'm averaging about 4-5hrs/week and getting ready to start karate again which will put me at 4-7hrs/week. They've increased my HNS by 1/day, but said that if that doesn't work by next week, they may switch me back to the blue menu. I have never heard of it?
Thanks,
Breakfast
It was 1 oz cheese, 1/2 orange or grapefruit, 1/4 cantelope and 40 cal bread/or melba.
lunch
4oz protien. 8 oz raw veggies
Dinner
4oz protien, 4 oz cooked veggies and 40 cal bread/melba.
HNS required with lunch and breakfast.
Hope this helps.
I don't know about you, but I started on yellow (4 days) and then switched to blue (days 5-10) and then green. I too am on my last day of the blue menu and have lost 8 lbs so far. Sounds like you may have skipped a couple of steps.
hatethesweatpants, I thought there was a specific menu designated for people who are working out more? You might ask them about that? Maybe it's called metabalance if my memory serves me correctly? Not sure, and I don't have it (otherwise I would so give it to you) - but might be worth a try at your center.
Ok, so is it protein and starch/fruit for breakfast, protein and veg for lunch, and protein, starch, veg for dinner? It sounds just like green menu, but fruit switched from lunch to breakfast? Am I missing something? I was on beige before (6oz protein) until I got under 200, then switched immediately to green.
Ah - the beige menu explains it, you would not have been on yellow or blue because of that. And yes, the main difference in blue and green is fruit moves to lunch and you have more choices too of course.
Can't tell you how happy I am to have tomatoes again!
It's the little things in life I suppose.
I just started MRC on Monday, and my menu is not a certain color. It is titled Meta-Slim Plus level 2. I am sorta discouraged already because I am afraid I am not going to be able to stick to this diet, as it is so strict. Spending all this money.....I want to be motivated to succeed, but I here I am already whining and it has only been 3 days. Its not just about the money, I want to stay motivated because I need to lose the weight for my health as well as my mental being. Can anyone relate?
I think it's the strictness that keeps me on track, actually. I do well w/this very rigid structure. I know exactly what to eat and when to eat - Totally simplifies my life. The first week or so is definitely the hardest - but you're here for a reason and you spent a ton of money (by your own admission), so now you just have to stick to it! Make a committment to login here daily and pretend that your weigh ins are doctor appointments that you have to attend 2x per week. These are things that really help me. You've already made the first steps, so you can do it!! We're all here to help each other on this journey, but only you can take the actual steps to get to the end! YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Thanks for the encouragement. I sure do need it. I have failed so long at this weight thing and I am ready to get it done. Thanks for the tips. Its just so overwhelming.
After 4-5 days, you will no longer have hunger and that makes it easier. It is very strict, but this is a lifestyle change. Give yourself a few weeks to get the program working for you -- you will be amazed at how much you will lose the first few weeks. Most of us have failed at weight loss for a long time, and indeed it is overwhelming. Any weight loss program will work if you follow it... this seems to be easier to follow for many people. Hang in there and give it some time!! Welcome.
I agree. The first few days were kind of hard. But oddly enough I am on day 12 and really have to force myself to eat. I am not sure why this is, it could be the water, as I was basically a camel before starting this program. I guess it does not matter what it is...only that it works. Hang in there.
i am on the metabalance menu. I was told that they put me on this menu because i work out alot. my husband and i are doing p90x 6-7 days a week. Maybe you can inquire about the metabalance menu or let them know how much you are exercising.
