I feel for you.
I'm 30, single, unemployed and living at home. You'd think with an MBA and lots of international experience it'd be easy finding a job. Well...so did I. . To add to that, I moved back to Germany after being abroad for 9 years - to a town of 5,000 people. Wanna take a guess how many of my friends from way back when are still around?
Anyway, I'm also looking at the positives: I can go to the gym whenever I want and my mom is doing WW with me. That helps. It's just hard to be home all day where there is food lurking everywhere. Also, my dad refuses to change HIS eating, so there is always chocolate and such in the house. If I had a choice, I'd just ban them and be done with it.
Sorry, ranting on . Just wanted to say that you need to just look at the positives. There is good in every situation, no matter how crappy it looks.
Oh that must be really hard to move back after so long away.
But it's precious time with the family isn't it.
Think I'll get onto the internet dating soon enough - I just want to focus on the weight-loss and job search to start off with.
Have you thought about moving back overseas again? Singapore economy is meant to be booming at the moment. It's not a bad place to work, and it's really safe to live. It's also great place to meet new people all the foreigners are friendly as it's an itinerate population.
cookco4 I am in the same situation: 34, single, no kids, living with a parent, all my friends married with kids, not meeting new people.
Actually I am thinking of trying online dating
Hope to meet new people there, but I am also afraid,
Yes I will go to online dating I think, But I want to get my weight undercontrol first. Having limited social life is easy because I don't have to eat out too much and challenge my weightloss too much
Hey guys,
Me, I´m not married, no kids but I do have a boyfriend. We´ve been together for about 1,5 years now and it´s been tough, after being single for the last 12 years... We met online, so for those willing to try it, I´d say go for it !
Cincimini, In 2001 I was in the same situation. No job, had to move back home after years of living abroad, it was tough, but eventually everything worked out fine... so hang in there!!
