Blerg, we had about a foot of water in the basement thanks to the Stones River rising into our backyard. Unfortunately, it's a finished basement so the carpet is a disgusting mess and the whole house smells like a sewer, even though the water has receded. Fortunately, we have flood insurance. The guy was coming out to look at it today, so hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle.

Anne, I am so glad to read that your DH got a job! I need to look at yesterday's and/or Monday's threads to find out more about it.

The visitation for my father is tomorrow and the funeral on Friday. My daughter Beth flew in from Texas last night, and it's great comfort having her here. She can stay til Saturday morning. My son will get here tomorrow morning and he and Fergie will head back to Maine on Saturday, too. I'm going to stay at least through the 16th. Longer if my mom isn't ready to be alone yet.
