Default Clothing NSV

I was looking for something to wear this morning. I have some black pants I bought 2 months ago that needed a top to match. I was surveying my closet looking for a top and went to grab for my "go to" white blouse. I put it on and it looked like a maternity top! I think this will be the top I save for comparison purposes when I reach goal. I took a shot and grabbed a too small shirt that turned out to still be too small but tried another too small shirt and it fit! When I was looking in the mirror in amazement is when I noticed that the butt on my two month old pants was getting baggy! I don't like the slim pickings in my closet but I like the slim-er me.

The same happened with me yesterday I had purchased jeans last year that were too tight so I just hung them up with the rest of the jeans that don't fit.. I had no clean clothes (no time for laundry this week!) and I happened to stumble upon them, tried them on and they fit!! YAY US!

Closet shopping is the best! I can't wait until none of it fits - this time in the right direction!

I just noticed the same thing about my shirts this morning! I still have some issues fitting into things that are smaller because unfortunately, no shrinkage in the boobs yet. But below that, my shirts are all huge and look AWFUL.

I'm old enough to remember a brief fashion trend back in day with these little elastic clip on bands that you attached to your shirts, to make them a little but more fitted in the waist. I wish those were in style now - I have a feeling I'm going to be wearing big and baggy and unflattering shirts for a while, until I get small enough to get out of plus sized shirts and that isn't going to be for a long time yet.

If anyone knows of any brands of plus sized shirts that are relatively fitted, but also long enough to cover the belly, please let me know!!!!

Congrats! Isn't that the best feeling in the world? There's no better motivation than seeing your hard work pay off in results that you can see!

Me too, me too! My favorite green top is darted and managed to make me look curvy in a good way...but yesterday it just hung and was dreadful. Today I'm wearing a bra I couldn't wear 2 months ago, and a size down pants comfortably. Huzzah!

Congrats to you too screech, peanutsmom and calluna!

I'm liking this closet shopping. It will probably bring me to tears of joy when I can no longer closet shop and have to buy new from the store. I'm at a 14 now. I have 12s in my closet although they are old so they may be different than a 12 now due to vanity sizing. When, not if, I get to a 10, I'm going shopping! I wore an 8 at my ideal weight before. That was many years ago, so I wonder what size that would be now?

Thanks everyone for your support.

I have some too-small clothing in my closet that seems to be randomly fitting again... yay us! This is a good feeling indeed.

Well... they aren't quite wearable outside yet for me. I tried wearing a pair of dress pants last Sunday and while they fit ok while I was standing up, they just cut into my fat roll while I was sitting... and it was rather painful. So, maybe a few more pounds before those will fit perfectly... sitting or standing!

This reminds me though, I should try on those clothes more often!

Isn't that the greatest feeling? For me, it felt like I was getting nowhere for the longest time, and then, one day, WHAM! all my clothes were suddenly too big, and things I hadn't been able to squeeze into in years suddenly fit.

Congrats to all you closet shoppers. Try on those "too small" clothes. I totally missed some of the clothes hanging in my closet because I could not believe that they might be fitting. They went from too small to too big without me even wearing them!
