Hi everybody!
Is it OK if I join the thread?
I am one of those strange 300lb plus people who enjoy the gym. I even enjoy swimming and don't take ANY notice of the stares!
In any other area of my life I am painfully aware of my weight and the way I look, clothed and unclothed. However, when I am at the gym or the pool I always think..." Hey...at least I am doing something about my health and weight so butt out!"
After a long absence from the gym I am returning this week as my chest is much better than it was.
Keep on with the good work chickens!

yes please feel free to join the thread, the more the merrier

I have been unwell for 4 days now (now battling a cough) and all i keep thinking is i've been away from the gym for too long lol!

Wow, you swim too? That's amazing! Early this year i started swimming too and now do so about 3 times a week (with gym).....my mindset is more or less like yours now, this is the one place i can better myself and my health so i should not care what others think!

I still get self concious having to drop my towel and walk into the pool in front of others but luckily have never heard any comments (and the pool is usually empty whew) so i keep getting the courage to keep going back.

I hope to be back logging hear after my nasty cough is over!

3 Mile Workout video is getting easier. A swim sounds nice. Not going to the gym right now. Tempted to find one with a pool though.

3 More miles down. I'm doing two 30 day challenges as well. One for the bottom, and one for the thighs. Hope everyone is doing well.

1 hour swimming, wish i could get those underwater mp3 players, because counting laps gets very boring.

1 hour weight training, 15mins elliptical, 30mins bike. A lady who i've never spoken with at the gym walked up to me and said "You've lost alot of weight!".

I honestly didn't think people could notice as when i stare in the mirror i just see same ol me, I haven't even lost that much on the scale but I can feel it when i wear my clothes, things that were super tight before becoming abit looser.

I still have a looong way to go, but days like this make me feel like all the hardwork is worthwhile. Will keep chugging on.

Back on that metaphorical 3 mile workout horse. Funny... But I was out jogging the beat of the first HIIT cycle music. Maybe it's time to push myself a little more.

I really like this thread. I have been contemplating the gym for a few weeks, but I am just not brave enough yet. I am also doing a Sansone video, but I can only get through about 22 minutes so far. I will keep going and hopefully my stamina will increase, and then maybe I will be brave enough to step into the gym. Congrats on everyone's accomplishments!

It has been over a year since I have been in the gym........that is bad, but to make it worse I have continued to pay between 25-30 dollars each month lol..... I think of the amount of new clothes I could have been buying lol.

Goals for April include getting back into the gym..... How is everyone doing?

3 Miles Down again- Also Did Bodyweight arms workout as well. I was doing girl position Diamond Push-ups and modified Tricep Dips to work my triceps... My son, who has been doing 75 regular push-ups a day, couldn't do ten Diamond Push-ups and ten Tricep Dips. Lol. I think that he could if he tried. He just plain did not like the burning feeling of under-utilized muscles.

Another 3 miles-this time I did the normal Leslie Sansone Walk At Home, not Walking to the Hits with HIIT training. I'll do Walking to the Hits tomorrow. I worked my legs a little bit today as well. Squats, Wall Sits, etc. I may do a leisurely 2 mile walk this afternoon as well. There's a store nearby with a deal on nail polish. I haven't painted my nails in forever, but I'm feeling kinda girly today. My little girl would probably like her nails painted as well.
