I wanted to add too, yesterday, oh the glorious food! And I made lemon meringue pies which are heaven, and my mom cheese cake. I had both, however I didn't finish my little pieces. I savored a few bites slowly and just moved aside. I really think even though the calories were insane, I watched the portion sizes so at least those weren't adding to the issue.
Ok, so seriously got up and stood at the foot of my bed watching my husband sleep fighting with myself about going to the gym this morning. It was 4:30am and I just really didn't want to, but then really did because I didn't want to break my streak. I ended up going. Workout was a little shorter today because my hubby has to go into work a tad earlier the next couple days. So 40min on a elliptical and then 20 min of leg weight training.
Today was feeling very out of it as I hadn't been to the gym in 4 days but managed to push through and was really proud of myself at the end. 1 hour stength training (lower and upper body), 30mins walk
Today my alarm went off and the toddler woke up around the same time crying and refusing daddy. So stayed and snuggled with him and got a couple hours extra sleep. I'm going to try to go tonight and then get back up in the morning. Or I can count this my rest day.
Thanks for sharing your gym posts, I am finding lots of inspiration in them. I really want to go, but I just don't think that I am ready yet. For now, my video is working...maybe next month I will check out the gym. Wishing you much continued success!
Today did 1 hour swimming. I am finding it abit easier each time to be able to drop my towel and walk to the pool to swim (swimming is the easy part lol) and thereafter having to get out of the pool and almost run to my towel to cover up and to the changing rooms.
Social anxiety and low self esteem can be crippling both physically and mentally....i still suffer greatly with these outside of the gym environment but i'm glad i seem to have become comfortable in the gym/gym pool which is the one place that is helping to better my health.
@shaducky: thanks
@noggs: thanks and not to worry even videos are just as effective and super convinient, tootsieroll (who posts on here regularly) does the leslie sansone "walk away the pounds" videos and i completely agree they give an amazing workout.
So never went yesterday! But we got the craziest storms in yesterday, yikes!
Today and tomorrow my husband has to go into work much earlier than normal, so to ensure I was able to go, I woke my butt up at 4am and put in a workout. I had to be home by 5:15 for him to leave, so I did 25 min of a cybex machine and then 20min of lower body weights. Worked up a good sweat. I feel bad I couldn't go as long as I normally do, but 45 min is better than none! I weighed in this morning at 346.2, so I have lost 4.6lbs in the last week. WHOHOO! I want it off so much faster, but I know its slow and steady is better. celebrating my 4.6lbs with drinking LOTS of water lol!
Haven't posted in here for a few days because I had to have emergency surgery to have my appendix removed. I was told to take it easy for 1-2 weeks. It really sucks because I want to keep moving. I've tried to walk in place for a bit, but it really hurts and my spouse tells me that I will split open my stitches. I shouldn't roll my eyes, but walking would split my stitches? Seriously? At least I can tell that the guy loves me.
Surgery stinks, but you need to take care of yourself! I took a few days off the gym...not on purpose. Friday overslept the 4am alarm, Friday night was an ER trip with my son, thankfully nothing was broken (he's 2), so was there really late and didn't want to get up early Saturday, and then Sunday I was exhausted, so I slept a ton.
I got up today though and really tried to make up for it. I did 30 min on the elliptical, then 20 min of leg weights and man did I hit them hard! And then 20 min of walking up a hill on the treadmill, my legs def felt like jello for a while!
I overate this weekend, but thankfully no weight gain!
So tired this morning, and it was chilly, wanted to badly to stay snuggled up next to my toddler in bed. But got up. Did a hard 30 min on the elliptical, kept my speed around 5, and then 20-25 min of arm weights (made some jello arms so it was good) and then 10 min cool down on another machine. I'm glad I went! But boy is it hard some mornings!
weighed in today and lost a little more bringing my total weight loss so far to 7.2lbs! WHOHOO! I am so excited to reach that first ten pound weight loss. Maybe next week! I'm make it my goal, by next Friday, gives me 1.5 weeks to do it.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Good job on sticking to your plans. Tomorrow will be a week since the operation, and they told me that light cardio is okay after a week. No lifting or strenuous exercise for 6 weeks, though. I look forward to getting back to it.
