Hello Lifeboaters... I'm continuing the challenge with you! I'm keeping my prior challenge goals and going to try to tighten my calorie goals.
1. No vending machine crap
2. Taking vitamins everyday (can be life-threatening if I don't take them cuz of WLS)
3. Calorie limit of 1800-2300 a day (seems high, but with my WLS I only absorb 30-60% of that)
4. Riding bicycle to work
5. Protein first!
Dry from the recording each bite which is always my goal. I did pick at some things trying to satisfy something - not sure what other than maybe some boredom.
The lifeboat is rocking a bit. My calories were a bit high yesterday. But at least I'm writing everything down (making best guesstimates for when I can't or don't weigh things). For me, staying accountable for everything is the most important.
Anyway, yesterday was Day 1, and it's in the books and okay. Need to do a little better today.
Dry, but was rocking the boat a bit. I used calories eating some gluten free cookies instead of making better protein choices. Those cookies are gone. Today will be better.
I never set any new goals for this 10 days, but will be thrilled if I just keep to the old ones:
write everything down
less than 1800 calories
at least 5 fruits/veg
Day 2 today, and it's going great so far. I even got to the gym!!
I read the last thread like this and I think it's a really great idea. I can relate to the feeling of my life being a rocking boat and unfortunately there always seems to be a leak. I've gotten discouraged and let myself drown a few times, because trying to get the water out when it just keeps on sinking is never a good feeling. The day is almost over now, but I plan on staying dry tomorrow.
Magic, the key is that in this boat, you are not alone. We have special floofey white warm towels and all will help pull you back into the boat. Everyone gets wet periodically. That's a given. You can jump back in and get dry at any time. Set small baby goals. Just set one! It's only 10 days.
