Hi my name is Jeanette and I'm 37 years old. I've been trying to lose weight since after the birth of my dd-12 years ago Anyway, I've been successful with south beach so I think something along those lines will be best for me to follow. I also have a gym membership and will be doing weight training and cardio. Some of the obstacles I feel I will have (okay-I know I will since they are reasons I haven't been successful with weight loss) are I work nights, I'm in grad school, and the rest of my family is not going to to south beach as their way of eating. I just need others on my side to cheer me on, which I don't feel I have that at home sometimes. Oh, and I'm also probably going to be going in for foot surgery in the near future. I just need to stay the course and be accountable to myself. Thanks for listening to me ramble!!

Welcome! Are you the primary dinner-maker? If so, because I am and I'm a horribly mean woman, I make a dinner that's Katie-friendly. If husband wants to add something else in that is not on my diet, he'll have to figure that out on his own lol.

When you have your surgery, remember that abs are made in the kitchen & not to use the 'I cant workout!' excuse.. we can always eat healthy!!
