Almost out of the 180's weighed in this morning at 180.8!! I've been feeling pretty darn good. We've been doing Seattle Sutton-they make meals for you and deliver them to your house. Next week will be the first week we go on our own. We subscribed to the Cooking Light magazine and DH said there's a place you can go to pick meals and set up a food plan for the week, so we're going to use that.
I've also been doing the c25k program. It's worked really well so far-very attainable and I don't hurt (knock on wood) usually by this time I've got shin splints that prevent me from running.
I've done something crazy-I've signed up for a sprint triathlon in August. It's a 500 meter swim, 10 mile bike ride and 3.1 mile run. I'm looking into swim lessons now, but I'm pretty darned excited about the whole thing. I'm hoping that over the next year I can do a half ironman and then three days after I turn the big 4-0, do a full ironman. I'm giving myself a year to get into shape for this!!

The 180s are really dragging out. I may do a 3 day smoothie fast again to try to push past this. I did one a couple of months ago and it really helped jumpstart some stagnant weight loss. Still 181.8.

Nickilaughs hang in there! I haven't been posting in this forum because I'm definitely not a 30-something, but I've been following along. I got stuck at about 186/187 and then again at 181. For what felt like what was going to be forever. All I could think was, holy cow is this as low as my body will go? Then I finally, finally broke through.

I don't know what it is about the 180s but this is a tough decade. Just stick with it. Double down on your efforts and you will get through it!!!

Thanks Chub! I've been traveling the last four days and was at the river with family. Considering how bad I could have been, I wasn't really that bad. But my water intake wasn't awesome, and I def had a couple "bad meals." Tomorrow is a costco trip and a return to strict diet. I'm def still in the mid 180s.
I know part of it is I haven't been quite as strict as I was, and the other part is just, I think my body's happy around this weight. But I've still got a lot of cushion to spare!
I get tired of eating the same diet all the time, Veggies and chicken only gets tolerated for so long. I def need to try some new recipes. IF anyone has any low carb meal suggestions I appreciate it. I mainly eat "zuchini pasta" and chicken with alfredo sauce/sometimes tomato sauce, salads, egg salad, turkey wrapped in cheese, veggies n hummus, tuna fish, and veggie egg scrambles. There's not a lot of variety. But I guess there really isn't variety when you are eating healthy? There's only so many ways to prepare vegges and meat....
