Default New to 3 chicks and new to the 30's

Hello, I wanted to say hi! I'm new to 3 chicks and new to the 30's forum.

My name is Kara and I'm from Indianapolis. I am re-commiting to losing weight for the 1000 time but I really want to ACCOMPLISH something this time.

I work full time and have two daughters - Emma is 3 and Olivia is 2. My husband is a stay-at-home dad who also runs a business out of our home.

For me, I let life get in the way of my weight loss success and use that as an excuse. I know now that I need to plan and stick to a plan. I need more WILLPOWER!

I'm anxious to get to know you ladies and start this journey with some new weight loss buddies!

Welcome Kara. You'll get as much out of this site as you put into it (sorta like weight loss! LOL!) Just jump in. I've learned so much from the women here, especially on this board.

I also sneak over and read the 'maintainers' board. The people there have lost 30- 200 lbs. and are KEEPING it off. Even though I'm not close to my goal yet, I read over there a lot because I figure I need to start thinking like them if I want to become one of them.

Anyway, welcome!

1st goal- ONEDERLAND! Check!
2nd goal- Less than 194 (a number I've been stuck at before) CHECK!
3rd goal- Reach the 180's- haven't been there since 1999. CHECK!
4th goal- 180 which means hitting the 50 lbs. lost mark! Check!
5th goal- Switching to size goals now more than pounds goals. Goal is to make it to size 12, at whatever weight that happens. CHECK!
6th goal- Size 10! (can't even believe this is possible!)
7th goal- Size 8 and MAINTAIN!

Hi Kara! I'm a sahm with 4 boys, ages 9 1/2, 7, 4, and 17 months. I can TOTALLY relate to letting life get in the way of weight loss. Welcome, and good luck!
