Today marks the third time I've lost ten percent of my total body weight. I chose to use 10% points for this set of mini-goals, with a few other goals along the way . . .
360 - starting point
324 - first goal
292 - second goal
263 - current weight!
237 - next goal, and only 2 pounds from my Christmas challenge goal of 235
214 - fifth goal
193 - sixth goal
174 - seventh goal
157 - eighth goal
142 (?) - final goal has always been 150, but I'm willing to be flexible
I think it's really helped me to break it down like this, and for the first time in ages I have hope again for not only the 220's (my lowest weight as an adult), but beyond. I can't wait to see where I'm at by my birthday in February, as I hope I can get down to that area by then.
I know I haven't always been an avid poster but I do read here a lot and find inspiration from all of you every day. I doubt I'd have done this well so far if it weren't for everyone's support.
I can't look at small goals too closely, for me I need to see the big picture.. but I have broke down my 10%s and keep them as a tiny victory! I hit my first 10% this week.. I'm so excited!
Sirenity..this is awesome...so great for you ...I love your changing avatar pic too..very cool...congrats on your success...and yep, you will be to your goal by your birthday--I wouldn't be surprised to see you in ONEderland by then! Exciting huh?
You have lost almost 100 even pounds. That is so amazing and wonderful! It is truly awesome. You'll have yto write up a "mini-goal" entry for it to encourage us all.
You know what I think is really important to let others know--it's the mental shift you have made. You had one way of looking at food, one way of looking at your body, and the world around you. That has changed. I know it has. It must change before and during the loss of so many pounds over so much time.
I am so thrilled for you! I'm so excited--and inspired, too. Because if you can do what it takes to lose 100 pounds, then I can too, (I hope).
