I'm planning to buy BFBM and NMTZ this week (30DS is starting to feel a little old and I need to shake it up a bit). Now with 30DS I just needed weights (and mat) do I need to get anything else for these other two? And if weights are involved would you recommend sticking with the same weights as I used in the 30DS or going up or down?

Yay Sylivied!!!! You don't need anything else for these videos. I had to go back down to 3 pound weights for NMTZ, but give it a try at wherever you are at with 30DS. It's going to be tough, and seem REALLY long after 30DS, but give it your all, and you can do it!
I don't know what size weights you used for 30ds, but I use 5 lbs for both. I feel like its easier in NMTZ with the higher weights and i didn't have to drop them as much as i did (and still have to do) with 30 ds.
I think using whatever you have on hand should work, either 3's or 5lbs. Maybe try it once and if you feel like its too hard/easy pick up some diff. weights?
I finally tracked them down. I had to go to the store when I had time to wait for a salesperson to search high and low for them (they were in some back office somewhere) but I have them in my hot little hands.
I've been preparing for the longer workout by doubling up my 30Ds for the last couple of weeks, omitting the first cooldown and the second warmup so hopefully the length won't hit me too hard. I've been using 5 lb weights throughout. They're starting to feel too light for some of the exercises but perfect for the others so I'll keep them for now.
But the woman at the checkout told me that she couldn't walk after she first did NMTZ so I'm getting a little nervous and I don't think I'll do the first round as part of my early morning routine as I need to be able to walk to get to work. I'll start in the evening or on a weekend morning.
NMTZ is really tough. It has been, to date, the only workout that has actually made me cry. I didn't quit though. I dried the tears and pushed through it. Like Jillian says, if we stop when things get uncomfortable, our bodies will never change.
I just got NBTZ in the mail, but had been using it on demand for a week or so. I've done the Banish Fat one only twice. NBTZ is long, but I've only been able to to do 6 circuits. I like it though.
Well I bought them and I started Monday afternoon with NMTZ. It was an awesome but exhausting workout. Yesterday morning I started BFBM and somewhere in the middle, I did something to my rhomboid or trapezius muscles and have been in pain so no workout this morning. One of the people I work with commented that I was walking like C3P0. It helped to keep my elbows up and bent .
It seems to be easing off so I think I'll do some yoga tonight and see if I can handle a workout again in the morning.
They're really thorough workouts though, especially NMTZ...I can practically feel my body changing, which excites me a lot.
izzystizzy - I've had reasonably good results with the videos. I haven't lost as much weight with them as with 30DS but I think I'm experiencing a bit of a natural slow down in my weight loss anyway.
For awhile I was just doing NMTZ and that was a problem for me as it didn't get my heart rate up high enough to burn fat, so while I was toning my muscles, I wasn't losing any weight. So now I'm making a point of doing cardio as well and I seem to be losing again.
I like NMTZ better than BFBM so while the weather is good, I've been jogging on my cardio days instead of using the video, but it is a good video and when it gets cold, I will be using it again.
I know I'm super late in discovering Jillian's videos but I recently started using BFBM and I'm hooked, even though it completely kicks my butt every single time. I've never ever thought about doing a fitness video in the past, I thought it was silly to stay inside (in my tiny apartment) and I had all sorts of really old-fashioned ideas about the kinds of instructors who make them, and just didn't even give it a chance. But for some reason, with Jillian it's different, she's someone I want to listen to and be pushed by, and makes me think, maybe I can even cancel my gym membership now! I think I might get in better shape doing her videos than anything else. Although I will continue to run.
I really like that you don't need any equipment.
The music could be better though... kinda cheesy... maybe once I memorize all the moves, I'll listen to my own stuff.
ANyway, don't know if this thread is still active or not, but I just wanted to see if anyone is still working out to BFBM or just started it or whatever and want to support each other!
