I'm very tall and was talking to a friend who is a doctor about my wanting to lose weight. She, in a hushed voice (I think trying to lessen the sting of saying it out loud?
) said, "You weigh what, 220?" I almost fell over, and told her that no, I weighed about 100 pounds more than that. I've just got more surface area to spread it around on. And as an apple shape, I look much worse from the side than I do face on.
The bummer part is that I have to lose a massive amount of weight before anyone notices or before I drop a clothing size... And another downside is that I have gained a tremendous amount without the mental wake-up call that I may have gotten earlier if I were shorter because I can wear the same size for about 50 pounds.
