I had to go out to lunch today for work. I didn't know where we were going, so it was a mystery as to what to order. When they said we were going to Johnny Carino's (Italian restaurant for those who are not familiar with it), I thought, "uh-oh, I don't remember them having much to choose from except pastas with sauce. Darn." So, I scanned the menu several times. I chose a "Pecan-crusted chicken salad" that had spinach, roma tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and a vinagrette dressing. I was afraid to look when I got back to work, but it had 550 calories, 25g of fat. Not too bad considering the rest of the menu.
But it made me remember that someone in this forum said that they had their cheat sheet for all of their local restaurants, that included the foods that they could choose when they went to the restaurant. I need to do that!!!
Today our office ordered in Japanese Food. So I ordered steamed vegetables and steamed rice. It was gross. And Im still kind of hungry........but I resisted the temptation to eat all the rice (which I estimate to be like 3 cups) yes 3 cups. I only ate 3/4 cup cause of my diabetes. Everyone else is enjoying their super yummy fried rice & hibachi dishes, but im the only fat one here, so i guess its my own fault.
Patting self on back for choosing wisley when the opportunity to do badly was before me............yay, yay....Mug.
