Hi guys, thanks for the well-wishes! I just finished packing up all my stuff for tomorrow morning and let me tell you I am TERRIFIED of this race. It's going to rain and I'm scared to death of having my bike slip and falling. Plus, I found out that based on my estimated swim time I'm in the next to last wave of people in the pool (hey, at least I'm not last!), which means I won't get in until 9:50 or so, but they're clearing the bike course at 11:30. With the rain I'm scared I won't get off the bike course before they clear it!

Anyway I'm trying to calm down enough to go to sleep early since I have to leave home at 6:45 tomorrow morning.

Megan, I hope your weightlifting tournament went well!! Can't wait to read about it!

Hi there! Just checking in to see how our inspiring athletes are doing. Hope all went well!

Yesterday I did get in a good workout, did reasonably well with food, not enough water, but better than some weekends. We got the laundry caught up finally after being gone last weekend, and I also went through my girls' closets, cleaned out all of the too small stuff and did an inventory of spring/summer clothes. Also took a quick look at my spring/summer wardrobe & tried on the 3-4 pair of capri/shorts I own, all fit about the same as last year which is a great feeling!

Off to shower for church. Everyone have a great day!!

Good morning!

I feel like i have done nothing but clean all weekend.... three hours on the hardwood floors on Friday, four and a half on the carpet upstairs and on the stairs and cleaning three bathrooms... Seven loads of laundry so far, five or more to go. Every time I let things pile up this badly I kick myself in the foot and remember how much I hate weekends like this... No formal exercise all weekend, but I feel like someone has beaten on me with a stick! Going to do some yoga today to stretch it all out. We are going to a birthday party for an extended family member this afternoon, so have to avoid the cake at all costs!

Good Sunday everyone!

I DID IT!!!!

I made both of my goals -- finishing in under two hours and not coming in last! I don't have my official time yet -- I didn't want to stick around afterwards until they put it up because I wanted a shower really badly. They should post them online soon. But I did use my stopwatch. I started it before I got in the pool and forgot to stop it at the finish line (I did a couple minutes later) and my stopwatch registered 1 hour 50 minutes.

I'll probably post more details on the triathlon thread tomorrow, I'm pretty beat right now. Oh and Anne, guess what? I didn't have to walk the run! I admit, I did walk the first 100 yards or so because going up a steep hill right after getting off the bike was not going to happen, but I ran the rest of the way!
